Alright. I'm convinced. I already knew this was peak from chapter 1, but for me to NOT get annoyed at how dense this MC is yet actually enjoy the show his denseness is causing is honestly genius. This man is a fucking black hole when it comes to these other 3 heroines. xD

I don't know why any of you dislike Nanase (the transfer student) here.

In a real relationship, especially the ones that leads to marriage and a lifelong partnership, it's much easier and wholesome to have a partner who is putting their heart on their sleeve. It's much easier to know what our partner think and feel when they (and us) are willing to say what they think and feel.

Woman like Nanase is a keeper, man. Many of you just do not understand and/or realize it yet.
In real relationships you shouldn't sexually harass someone who isn't even your partner. In real life what she does would be creepy and uncomfortable, to put in the perspective imagine the roles were swapped and it was a dude who was harassing a girl the way she does. Touching between thighs? Yeah, if I saw this done to my friend, someone would have their fingers broken.

As for wearing a heart on your sleeve... I mean I don't disagree if you are already in relationship, but right now those 3 girls are afraid of harming their current relationship, so you can't really blame them.

Thanks for the chapter.
After reading dozens if not hundreds of romance manga/wn, it is a breath of fresh air to see tsunderes called out and face consequences for their frankly baffling tendencies. It helps that i agree with the thesis of the manga, but ive been enjoying my time

Dawg Inori is such a treat. She's such a funny character despite being like the supposed meek type. 😅😂

I seriously dislike the transfer student
Why? Love rivals aren't a new thing in romcom, especially when things are starting to become boring/stable.
Heck, she's kinda the whole point of the series? The so-called heroines are NOT moving an inch, and love rivals are there to remind them they can lose.

This is a unique case though since the three don't seem to be aware of each other, romance-wise, and might be the cause why they're not moving.

Still, Nanase is that reminder that Love Is War ™

That's exactly why the transfer student is my favorite: She doesn't just want to win, she's actually trying to win.

I am just here to see the transfer students kick tropes ass and chew bubblyMC.
Hope the story can maintain momentum.

to be fair he's only really dense when it comes to haru, the other two girls haven't given him any indication they're into him
amane has the best shot imo, as she hasnt actively sisterzoned herself (hakua), nor has she acted like she doesnt like him (haru)
im team nanase all the way, but id be happy if amane won instead

Okay so like, honestly the transfer student is the least interesting character to me in this series by a long shot right now. She's just being honest with the MC and kinda clinging to him while not really forcing the issue beyond occasional reminders of how she feels. Meanwhile, he's resistant to her advances, and has made his lack of immediate interest clear, so there's no momentum on her side yet. Like sure, fmc being straightforward is refreshing for us manga readers, but only that. It's not enough on its own to make it interesting. There's no tension, and at least thus far, chemistry has yet to really be established either. I don't know how interested I'd be in reading a series about just the two of them, at least with the current setup.

BUT, I also feel like she's the most important factor making this series work -- her being straightforward is the gas on the fire that pushes the other girls out of their comfort zones and propels them to action. She makes for an amazing foil to them (as well as the MC himself) which serves to make them shine under fire and therefore drives the series' momentum.

I think this is why this series is so entertaining so far; instead of a harem where nothing ever happens because nobody wants to make a move, the characters have a fire lit under them which shakes things up and forces action, which in turn becomes our entertainment and gives us reasons to root for them. Of course, nanao being refreshingly straightforward and winning the small battles by default in the face of such opposition that she's hardly even aware of gives you reasons to root for her, as well. So everyone can still have a horse in the race, thanks to this sort of balancing act her presence enables. She wouldn't be so interesting without them, nor would they without her. This is really demonstrated expertly in chapter 1, where every heroine got their own dedicated title call -- this author understands that each of them is vital in order to make this setup work.

My only fear at that point is that, after a certain point, this can basically only end up turning into a "obvious losing heroines flail in a panic and decide to take action because of unexpected element, but still crash and burn in the end anyway" kinda progression..

You're right, I'm not sure how this story is going to go without it turning into that, or just another harem manga, not that I have an actual problem with that.

Theres noting unique going for the series except the sudden arrival of a love rival... which isn't a unique concept itself.

After causing chaos from her confession, there has to be something else to keep the story interesting.

Right now she's just about finished establishing her dominance with the three girls. What comes next, I don't even know. We'll see if the series can keep being interesting afterwards...
