She didn't realise anything. Hes spelling it out for her and she's just confused.

Next chapter she might consider that this is all some test for the job position and she'll think that saving the guy from being fused with the thing is the way to pass the test. That, or she'll spend the chapter confused while the cult leader completes his fusion.

I skipped over pretty much all the dialogue in the chapter and I don't think I missed anything meaningful. If you want me to care about a character's backstory then make me care. This story isn't accomplishing that.

It's funny how the Japanese comments I'm seeing are mostly positive, while people here are unreasonably negative.

This type of story doesn't quite work for foreign audiences, apparently.

I don't think we're being unreasonable about negativity? Like a comedy story that isn't funny isn't doing that well. Like comedy is subjective but I feel like it's not that crazy that "Goofy heroine sticks on a cross doing nothing while people die" isn't really something to laugh over when it's repeated for like 7 or 8 chapters now? Like some gags were funny like the guys breaking their weapons and crying over it but they can't make up for majority of chapters being fake tension of "Will the MC actually do something"
