She is written like a one note douche bag. That's why she's so hateable. She's made her entire point to fuck with both the MC and fmc going so far as to self insert herself between the mc and fmc and made it her sole purpose to drive a wedge between them for the dumbest of reasons. I never want to see a piece of shit like that ever be redeemed or best girl. She's an antagonist so it makes sense that she can't be redeemed. That's how a lot of antagonist are. Yeah, I absolutely despise her and seeing people root for her absolutely disgusts me. Her motives on why she's such a bitch do not make her redeemable whatsoever. It's just an excuse to justify to the audience a reason for her to do those nasty things.
So normally I wouldn't get direct like this - but it's clear you either don't remember Hebikawa's backstory chapters, skipped over them for whatever reason, or are just ignoring them because, perhaps, it helps you justify being so mad about people having differing opinions to you about a fictional character.

If you want the whole segment where she re-enters Keisuke's life and gets involved with Kusunoki, you can start at chapters 23-24, and then chapters 29-30. Otherwise, chapter 31 is the main part that gives Hebikawa's childhood.

You want the TL;DR, then: he's effectively the inverted character of Kusunoki. Like Kusunoki, she was a happy child trying her hardest to make friends and live up to the ideals she saw in the people she looked up to -- namely an idol who, she reflects upon in the present, "resembles Kusunoki".
And, Hebikawa tried to get along with her classmates, but in always being conscientous of their feelings and opinions, stretched herself too thin, tried to please everyone, and saw her peers get mad at her instead, talking behind her back, accusing her of things she didn't do, and she became isolated as a result.
She was even the "pretty one" in class that boys fawned over, and the girls would get jealous and ostracize her and try to bully her. But, and here's the kicker, instead of turning into a gloomy loner like Kusunoki, she turned it outward and back onto those who bullied her and became the bully instead. And it even pained her to do so at first, because she saw herself getting further and further from the "nice person ideal" she wanted to emulate, but because her life got easier and easier the more she stopped caring about others, she kept at it.
And then it turned out the "perfect idol role model" she looked up to all her childhood was caught in multiple scandals of drinking & partying while underage, marring her pure image in the eyes of her fans.
Hebikawa, being young and impressionable, took that as a sign that anyone who claims to be pure and perfect and nice is secretly fake, because there's no way you can be those things and actually be happy - as shown by her own experiences trying to be all those things, and losing her friends as a result.

She's the Dark Kusunoki. She's the foil to Kusunoki's character, but she's also self-aware of how she comes across, and therein lies the seed that she could see a change of heart and improve as a person--i.e. "get a redemption arc".
I'm not saying she deserves one, but there's a path to her earning it, and given she's one of the four main characters of this series, her doing that would make narrative sense, especially as she's the big path forward to Kusunoki ever getting with Keisuke by opening Kusunoki's eyes to the fact that she has latent feelings for the boy.

Like - you can dislike her. That's totally your right, and I'd argue that if these were real people, I myself wouldn't want to associate with her as she is right now.

But you're objectively wrong about her character being a "one note douche bag", and about her character motivations having no deeper meaning. She's an antagonist, but she's not without actual substance.
To pretend otherwise is to let your biases get in the way of the story, and the fact you deride others here for enjoying a character you personally don't like makes you seem childish, to boot.

I don't care about her sob story. She went through that. Yeah she did, but she still chose to act like terribly. You know I never understood how people can delight in hurting others. You see, when you take life, you live in fear because, deep down you know someday your life will be taken as well. It’s simple. if that snake bitch wanted good things to happen in her life she just had to be good. Snake bitch seems to delight in seeing other people suffer. And she treats life like a disposable commodity. She's a home wrecking bitch. She ruins the lives of innocent, peace-loving people. She even ruined the lives of children. And all of this, for her own amusement or personal gain.

Well enjoy hating her character I guess. Could always drop the manga or set it aside for a dozen chapters if it's got you feeling so strongly that you were attacking other people here over it.

Snake is funny, I just can't imagine her character actually commiting to a long term relationship. She'd dump him once she was bored. Imagining a flash forward of that happening to mc is pretty funny.

Indeed she is, and that's why she is the one advancing the plot by being a manipulative asshole, the MC knows it but can you blame any of them? And let's be honest, the author is fumbling the bag with this unnecesary drama since you know... Moe isn't her old friend.
Oml so that's the reason why people like her? Now I get it. Thanks for clearing all that up, you gotta be the only logical person who reads this manga bro 😭🙏

Ughh, is Moe-chan watching across the street?
That will be my guilty spice.
Double third wheel drama, while Kusunoki just confused in the middle.

Yeah disliking her for being a selfish bully is fine and all that but she isn't one note there's a very clear reason why she acts the way she acts and everything she does is tied to it. She's obviously going after Keisuke right now because she thinks Shizuka likes him not because it'll make Hebikawa happy but because she thinks stealing Keisuke from Shizuka will make Shizuka snap and break her "perfect girl persona" because if Shizuka isn't proven to be pretending to be a nice girl to Hebikawa she will have to confront the fact that she's actually just a rotten person.
Like yeah I don't like Hebikawa either but she's very much a layered character.
