None of what you typed changes anything about inactive (dead) groups having their works uploaded. It's only a positive thing to have a dead groups translations uploaded.

Okay, and? I was an active user of mangadex without an account for years. Made an account last year. Made my forum account the other day when things started happening because I'm concerned some of my favorite series are next on the chopping block. This is EXACTLY the type of issue that's going to bring out a large number of users who have never interacted with the forums before.

That can't be right since I checked comments by clicking the link from the chapter listing for 6 years before I made my first comment and I had to make a forum account at that point. If this is true then it is a more recent change and hasn't been that way for the majority of this site's existence.

If it was under the V3 forums, that may have behaved differently - I never poked around during that era very much. But the current incarnation of the forums does behave this way.

It's malicious compliance. From the admin's first post the new rule is that depicting sexual activity between minors is not allowed and you're a pedophile if you oppose. So they are being good users and helping the admin get rid of all the icky manga still on the site.
