also that. I don't think that she being Reshutoka's mate would be enough for them to accept and go to war for her, at least not this quick.
Yeah I honestly don't expect it either, especially since it would risk some of the trading that the beastkin do with humans.

I know that what Karina did seems kinda tame for what a “villainess” is supposed to do,
i said this in previous chapters but Karina was never a villainess, to me never felt like one, she was just hurt and angry and in need of some real support system. i still believe she wont be hurting anyone just because.

I hope author is just showing us that Karina is about to get eaten but on a different manner it is. Also her sister being silent and calm really annoys me a lot like obviously she doesn't look and act like the usual bitch sister that we seldom see, which states she is hiding and a lot more things still unsaid on her character. Also the only downer I see in this chapter is Karina not fucking smack the shit atleast on that trash prince pitiful scrap face. Also I really really hope author will put plot twist on that story telling replica we see on this chapter, like bruh please don't let my puppy be a bad wolf. T-T.

I also want to believe that wolfie isn't trying to just recreate a story. She actually likes karina. You don't kill someone you like for not liking you back. Karina did use the wolf for her revenge but idk if that's a great reason to kill someone either. It just doesn't seem like a logical path the wolf would take.
Also, in an earlier chapter we see that she doesn't have the second part of the story, the part with the ending.

Ohhh big revenge ohhhh, do authors not know what revenge fucking is?
lol obviously not lately, there’s this one “revenge story” I read where the mc actually ended up apologizing to one of the people that killed him for needing to kill him.🙃🤦

All that really needed to happen for this to be a successful revenge is having the prince castrated. A prince who is unable to continue the bloodline would no longer have the right to be a prince.

In terms of viewer attention this series is apparently one of the favored ones of the publisher. MangaRepublic sold out of the Villainess' Bride copies so, in theory, it shouldn't be axed.
I really hope so as the story itself is interesting, I really feel with Katrina and looking at Aurora's determination makes entire thing that much tragic and lovable.

But I also have my doubts as this is just Chapter 11 and I would be surprised if they think of new ways to pace the story further as Katrina basically got her revenge on the Kingdom by stealing that ring and left prince living in fear of her being alive and commanding monster.

Do you have any data on that?

I checked the Shoseki Ranking, which tracks and estimates sales of physical volumes, and volume 1 didn’t make it into the weekly list during its first week. It only appeared in the daily rankings for its first two days, showing up at #409 on the first day and #439 on the second day.

I also looked on Amazon, and despite the positive reviews, it’s not ranking very high:

I checked the author’s X account as well and didn’t see anything about reprints or sales milestones.
If you check the publisher website, it's at the top of their "well read" section for fantasy and generally in the top 5 overall. It was also one of four book giveaways for their 1 year anniversary. Given that the publisher is small and new they're less likely to axe one of their more popular site drivers.

Kawa also doesn't seem to use twitter that much. She'll take weeks to respond to a single comment and doesn't generally retweet chapter posts from the publisher unless she's excited for a particular thing.

I know there is symbolism on the whole thing and the future chapters could make the whole thing better but I still wanted to see blood. Aurora is a closed box and seems deeper than she looks but what Karina went through was real and she was wronged. Sure there is bias from her perspective but its not 100% biased. She survived and came to the cathedral from her own efforts alone, no thanks to Aurora.

At the end of the day, JUST SEND IN THE BEAST ARMY, SUMMON DEMONS AND SEND THEM IN AS WELL, DO BLACK MAGIC AND DROP METEORS ON THE CAPITAL :win::win::win:

I wonder how the little sister's behaviour at the beginning compared to this completely different character wearing her skin here and now is gonna be justified. Because it doesn't make much sense so far.

Fair I'd say as the symbolism was practically non-existent. Because sure if we look at it on one hand; Karina crashed the wedding, damaged the cathedral, declared herself still alive, and then with her monster lover ran off while stealing the ring. So sure, from that pov it certainly looks like Karina dealt a heavy blow to the kingdom. It would also seem dreading that Karina is still out there with her monster lover planning a full attack.

However on the other hand, no one was killed or harmed. This isn't just a request for bloodshed, but a literal fact. This downplays the threat of Karina and Reshtoka, in the eyes of the kingdom; making them seem less a threat and just a bunch of hooligans shouting demands. And sure the Cathedral was damaged, the wedding was interrupted, and the ring was stolen, but it means little when we were never given much importance of much of those things except for this chapter. And since none of these things represent any real tangible power or authority; the story of Karina's attack can be altered thanks to the kingdom's influence.

We already saw that the royal family had pretty much smeared Karina's name and allowed the manipulation of information about her. So all it would take is the king's word and suddenly the story of Karina's attack changes from her having her monster wreck the wedding and steal to the ring to becoming the Crown Prince bravely fought off Karina and her monster lackey to protect his fiance and his people. And during the course of the battle, the ring was lost and the cathedral was destroyed, but the prince forced Karina to cowardly withdraw ensuring that no one was harmed in the attack!

Not only would this boost the prince's image, but it would just further vilify Karina; where rather than fearing her, the kingdom would become unitedly embolden to take her out. But due to Eve telling the story to those present about how the monster will eventually eat the princess, the people could simply see it as Karina's deserved fate and to let the monster eat her while they go about their day.

So this revenge as we saw it was pointless, weak, and practically non-existent. She reminded people that she is still alive? Who cares! She'll just go off and get eaten in a few days anyway. She humiliated the crown prince? The guy doesn't have a single bruise or dirt on his body; she didn't do a damn thing. She stole the ring? Look it's the wealthiest kingdom in the continent, built upon who knows what lavish corruption that got it that far... It may as well have been a penny... The crown prince will live in fear of her? Why? Because she's still alive? Sure he got a weird obsession to have her killed, but she hasn't really did anything to make him fear her. Hell he was still talking shit to her even after she burst through the Cathedral. The guy is too much a dumbass and egotistical prick to know fear.

Of course, you could ask why didn't he charge Karina and Reshtoka to get the ring back himself; and the answer's simple. It's because he's too much of a pampered palace punk to do it himself, that's why he was calling the damn guards; just like how he had always intended to kill Karina, but he sent assassins to do it, rather than do it himself. He doesn't want to sully his hands dealing with troublesome trash.

At this point; unless we either learn that the ring is actually magical and a key item for the kingdom, or the king and prince begin to act comically insane, or that this really was the start of Karina's revenge and she intend to do more damage... this was a comically terrible revenge and Karina could've just stayed in the damn mountains.

I'm sad Karina didn't at least smacked the prince where he deserved to...

This is however quite a smack on the royal family prestige and legitimacy... theoretically having the most important day on the kingdom recent history, with IIRC foreign dignitaries and their own high ranking nobles... would make way harder for the crown to hide information... considering the visible damage to the grand cathedral, that is probably the most important religious site of the kingdom. Even if they manage to hide Karina's name from the attack, there is still that there was an attack on the core of the kingdom itself

while this is true, this is still an attack to a core institution of the kingdom, the royal family and the probably most important religious site of the kingdom, in the day there was the most amount of guards. It's something it will shake the prestige and legitimacy of an institution despite the propaganda .
IIRC it was also stated previously there were foreign dignitaries... a sign of weaknesses for foreign powers.
We also don't know how the propaganda against Karina took actual hold of the lower classes.

Considering how we've no idea of serious the kingdom takes its religion; it may not have even been that important, at least not important enough for anything more than a ceremony. Not to mention, the King wasn't even present as far as we know; which would bring the event's importance to even greater question. However, you do have a point about the foreign visitors; if they were present during the attack, then it would make it harder to use propaganda.

At the same time though, it would also make things harder for Karina because, those foreign nations could see it as an opportunity to get the kingdom into their debt and may volunteer to aid them in suppressing Karina and the wolf tribe. It really depends on how the other nations would use the opportunity; would they rather try to strengthen their ties with the kingdom or let the kingdom bleed out before taking the remains for themselves.

not having an established know worldbuilding make it difficult to properly reasoning this. IT depend if they see this as an opportunity for land grab, and increasing their power projection (to speak in EU4 terms), or something else. If the various nations doesn't already have a military passage treaty in place however, it may be difficult to establish one in relative short time, considering the issues with supply lines (especially when the area of operation is the cold north)

Considering how we've no idea of serious the kingdom takes its religion
Monarchies generally rely on religion to keep power. The entire "divine right to rule". The exception of this can be the elective monarchies (like, in IRL, the Polish lithuanian commonwealth) or dynastic monarchies who began with an election(like the Norway monarchy ).
While not all fantasy stories put "divine birthright" as focal point, there is mostly often a special right of the royal families, either strength related or magic related. We didn't saw something similar here, at least for now, so imho, divine right is not to be thrown out of the window yet
