For an urban fantasy manga about a half-dragon girl, its looks like even more mundane than my real life. But seriously, while halfway through the chapter I was ready to be disappointed they didn't show her father yet, now I'm actually intrigued by question, why he lives in such a place.

I am reasonably sure he missed on purpose; it was a warning shot.

Also I feel like Ruri is starting to cross the line into more dragon than human in a lot of ways if a dragon reacts to her like another dragon, and she can sense their presence like a dragon.

It wasn’t said why they’re meeting a dragon that isn’t Ruri’s father. Ruri also doesn’t ask why and seems quite nonchalant about it, so… I get that it’s for “plot reasons,” but it still feels kind of weird to me that she didn’t even question it.

But I guess that’s what the author wants. By withholding the father’s reasons and having Ruri not ask, the author creates a “mystery” that pushes readers to ask the questions the characters don’t, while also suggesting that Ruri has kind of learned not to expect much from her father.

Hmm, now this dragon. How will they be?

As they are at home will they be appearing in their natural form?

Will they appear in a humanoid form as a far of being welcoming and less intimidating?

Will they appear in one and then flex changing to another as their mood shifts?

Will they be good natured or will we get another slightly difficult character that Ruri has to figure out how to communicate with and navigate like the schoolmates who are outright against her continuing to attend.

I am intrigued

why are manga so unrealistic these days. Them having any leg room is completely unbelievable and makes it hard to suspend my disbelief.
Oops for some reason I thought they were on a plane there.
