And, the name of this series is "Mia is back". There is a really high chance Taesoo ends up together with her. If he ends up with Heesu instead, that would actually be pretty novel. Often times the FMC is worse than the other girls in the story, but the author still forces it to work. At least Mia grew a spine and is not bad at all. Imagine if we had gotten the old Mia instead and she was competing with Heesu and won just because of the drama. Man, maybe the authors do it just to mess with the readers, because it kinda looks fun from their perspective

The thing is the main girls usually have the decked stacked against them. Misunderstandings and poor communication, there’s always things stalling progress between the main leads and as a consequence the fml often ends up looking like the worst option.

Other girls get to be more open and direct with their feelings only because they were never going to lead anywhere.

More than any other romcom drama I've followed for a while, the amount of reading incomprehension and weird extrapolated prejudice/bias against the main characters in this series by some of the readers that join discussions has been quite the sight.

I wouldn't particularly say it's reading comprehension. But people nowadays just like to hold onto grudges and red flag this and green flag that.

I'm convinced that if this story had sunbae in the title and she was presented as the first/main girl, but you kept both her and mia's characters the same, people would be saying the exact opposite

readers of romance manga/manwha seem to be obsessed with the main girl losing, and they'll go to any length to justify it

like imagine if sunbae was the first/main girl and she refused to date the mc even though they're both into each other; how do you think these people would react? (not saying she's not justified in refusing, she can do whatever she feels is best for her, just talking about people's perspective on it because she's not the main girl)

mia's baggage is being held against her, while sunbae's baggage makes her the "tragic heroine"

no one said it was his fault but let me put it like this she cant look at him without remembering some of the most traumatic moments of her life combined with the fact she was forced to spy on him in her mind this may seem like the best thing for him his mother basically gaslight her into thinking she was a parasite that had to disappear for him to succeed.
