How does this thread already have this many messages? Are people that unsure about their musical taste, or it's just some sort of social confirmation?
because out of the 540 messages here currently, 223 of them are mine. this thread is actually an elaborate plot to catch up to @BakedBanana's message count

Alright, just because this is the thread for it, rate my this other song:
although this song is from 23 years ago, i doubt anyone could have imagined how far it would go... :shamihuh:

(another) 6.9/10, i like songs from musicals

wow, such a sad and meaningful song :meguuusad: but have the people who listen to it ever considered that maybe they deserve to be sad for having such mid taste? 5.4/10

i like talking about and discussing music. the rating system is a good way of encouraging that

7.9/10, this is great. especially the piano. too often do i hear rapid fire notes that feel erratic and formless, but here it actually sounds good. surprised there aren't more comments on the vid
to be fair its a post ending song for a relatively niche game meaning not only do people need to have played it they need to have fully completed it and started doing ending content.

blues! its also video game ost for... well where the water tastes like wine. good exploration of americana story and myth telling also killer music.

one of my favorite fucking things in any game sound design is when they give you either your own theme song or they change a bosses theme once their close to death. anyway you can tell when the winning variation starts when the image flips.
(note for leaderboard formatting the artist is Orsoniks)

agreed. i only wish that i could give more in depth analyses of these songs as someone like @Angry_Panda. unfortunately all i know how to do is dance and shitpost

huh, kind of like how Pokemon Scarlet & Violet had Celestial by Ed Sheeran as the credits song. putting a nice song at the end of a broken game that anyone with a modicum of self-respect wouldn't play for more than 5 hours is a great way to thin the herd.

reminds me of Fleetwood Mac's earliest songs (none of which i listened to more than twice). why does every blues song have to explicitly state in the lyrics that they're "singing the blues"? is it some sort of contractual obligation? 5.5/10

linking OST from a furry game? you're much bolder than i thought. 3.8/10. it does get me hyped whenever there's a part in a fight that prompts a theme change though

also, "when they're close to death."

I really don’t give a shit about furries I already had a phase of my life where I participated in digital lynchings of cat girls and furry erpers. Anyhow doesn’t really give off much of FURRY erp vibe so I don’t much care. Good electronica combat music tho

Oh no minor spelling mistake I am ded

very dense, i can't believe it's only two and a half minutes. 8.0/10

@a_singular_strike thoughts??
All three dance movements in the Masquerade Suite (Waltz, Mazurka, Galop) are theatrical and intense. The suite was composed for a play with the same name, so that might be the reason. Though Angry_Panda should be more knowledgeable about this than me.

Anyways, fun thread:

"Intense" is a good adjective for Khachaturian. He's a pretty accessible mid-20th Century composer, and strikes a good balance between art and popular music (the latter pulling both from his Armenian heritage and a heavy American influence). The work for Masquerade was incidental music, so it's distilled a bit more strongly than either his ballets (Gayane being the best known for its 'Sabre Dance') or his concert works (three symphonies and as many concertos).

Anyways, fun thread:
how i feel typing the implications of a repeatedly-genderswapped character getting pregnant

5.9/10. it's quaint and novel, but i think i'd prefer the song without the typewriter clacking

i have no idea how to critique classical(/baroque) music like you guys, so i just have to go by 'would i put this on my classical music playlist?', and the answer is no. i prefer serene/'background' pieces, but this is one harsher on the ears. 6.3/10

Limbus company OST one of the non mili one and thus one im pretty sure im the only one here who has actually heard of before since i seem to be the only actual project moon fan who had played all their games. anyway no context way of explaining the emotion is desperate intervention for that one friend.

Another one and my no context way of explaining the emotion it evokes is that terrible sense of dread of watching what you know will be a train crash but in the form of a fight where your desperately hoping it stops before someone is dead but you know that would be too happy way for it to end.
