I was expecting all that good "not suffering yajin" going to be shattered any day now, but not like that.

I didn't miss that "twitch" of the sister after brother mentioned a date with a woman so i knew he wouldn't be hanging around any longer. Tough luck blacksmith sister.

Also, she had the knife in her hand and was moving towards someone. Unless she was trying to harvest some plants from the guard's ass, she is a child assassin

Tel aviv impressed.
There's always a method to incapacitate someone with non lethal precision you child murder enabler
Not always. Child soldiers do kill people, especially if they have lethal weapons (guns, bombs, etc or a poisoned dagger would count). It's not always possible to prevent this even with lethal force.

In this case yes, I think he could have stopped her non-lethally. Disarming a probable weak child with no levels should be easy for him. If he made a mistake he still would have gotten hit with the poison and died. Waiting to get more information could have led to a thrown knife by an adult, given he didn't know it was a child yet. There also could have been two assassins and while he's observing the first one a second one acts. Almost no one reading would question it if it were an adult he threw the knife at, even though an adult could also be a weak coerced person.

The military parallels here are pretty strong. He made a snap judgement based on his experience with all these life and death situations he's been in. This led to him escalating too quickly in a situation where responding too slowly would have been just as bad. That doesn't change that a child died who didn't need to do so.

The baron likely covers for him enough to prevent jail or execution after they verify that, yes, the child had a poisoned weapon, but Yajin will pay with his credibility and deteriorating mental state.
She's Elsa's lesser known cousin.

Wasn't she getting directly near the baron? Seems just like his clothes in page 27, guard in page 18 of last chapter have slightly different clothes.

Also for all those stupid weepy "no, you can't kill a child even if she's actually a deadly assassin about to murder someone" posters, did you ever thought that if he hesitated and the girl succeeded in result, she would have been executed anyway for her crime? She's just someone's disposable tool of murder.

I think they would like her stopped nonlethally and then saved from whomever put her up to it, though even attempting to take out a noble could be punishable by death.

Regardless, humans feel it's different when you are the one throwing the knife. That's why the trolly problem is controversial.

let me guess you are against the death penalty and think every time a cop shoots an armed criminal they're the bad guy, they should have shot him in the leg or use a taser right?
Death penalty for appropriate age you soldier of the idf.

In this episode: Baron Rudi Schmidt, Lord Captain of my heart! Also, Yajin after taking a break from genocide, begins his experiments with infanticide.
bro really can't take a break, this manga kinda reminds me of Rainbow. those poor mfs also did not have a moment of rest. just suffering and hardships.
