I agree with @Nerevar2 that Hebi shouldn't have placed herself in this position, knowing this old perv was the type to make the position dangerous. It makes me wonder- does Hebi have a plan B in case plan A goes south? Did she text her mom to come watch this travesty, or something? Maybe not. Maybe she thought she could tell him off and he'd let her walk away.

It's got me thinking about what else Hebi could do in her situation. The situation being, she notices her mom is dating a scumbag. Option one is "do nothing." And that's not very good, because her Mom will get hurt, and possibly the family will suffer from the scumbag if he's left unchecked. Option two is "Try to show mom he's scum," but to do that she needs evidence. Which leads us to the option she takes: "flirt with him and get him to act scummy so they break up." Which mostly works. Except, she foolishly went on this final breakup date. Should have broken up by text instead.

It's also not surprising that she made mistakes, because she's still a teenager. In spite of her ability to read people and scheme, she lacks adult experience. It makes it hard to blame her, even when her mistake is dangerous. The blame for a teen is softer than the blame for an adult.

Really want to see her developement along the story.

I love how careful you are with wording. I am for one all for victim blaiming if victim doing everything in their power to get in trouble.
