My first answer was going to be volume 4's cover. First three lack her geta. I just went to check if there was a point earlier than that and surprised myself with that. Volume 2's cover does show the change in her saya though, goes from black with ornate gold to a red and blue pair which remained until volume 5's cover where they're now red and black. I don't recall a reason ever being given for those changes in story though, it just happens.

yes and no, it's not the case of this one but some manga awards matter a lot. the likes of Kono Manga ga Sugoi, Manga Taisho, Next Manga Award, Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize or any award from major foreign publishers/conventions can convince investors to invest on an anime adaptation

There's been rather constant gore. The puffed up head then cut to it just being gone with a blood puddle is, body horror aside, on the lighter end of the gore in the series.

Hmm, I guess puffed up head just feels "gorier" for me because I don't remember feeling a bit odd in my stomach when reading this and still not after rereading this.

The last page showed a diagram that tells us Arnheid killed his dad, mom and aunts.

I know, I was just wondering if the other two's corpses are in the actual comic part or not.

Fair. Like I said the gore's been worse aside from the body horror. The head blowing up and popping like a balloon is definitely up there on the disturbing scale, even if there has been things more literally gory.
