A good comic overall, and rather unique in how it portrays its story, but this last chapter is a real stinker.
It's really jarring to just suddenly cut to the kids in such a pivotal scene like this, and not only that, the way it ends this chapter feels as though there should be more chapter to these kids' story.

So a poor epilogue for the main cast, a poor introduction to the kids, it raises more questions that will not get answers (who is the father of the saintess' child? Why can they use 'dark magic'?)

I suppose this is supposed to get us to want to buy the Novels, but all it's done is put a stinky turd of a full stop on the comics.

That was an interesting choice for an epilogue, all of our main cast was missing but we got to see the daughter of the main couple and the saintess' daughter who apparently has dark magic. Seemed like the author was pitching a sequel more than wrapping up the series. I wish we had seen a small glimpse of everyone as proper adults.

After all the good quality before, this "epilogue" feel indeed underwhelming, just being "people still believe dumb rumor" and "dumb kid being dumb".
All that said, it's pretty funny with actual daughter of ex-troublemaking Saintress agree that her mom's action during school years, and people believe in rumor were dumb. Tho.... unless it's pure rng, Aini, how does your daughter got dark magic?!?

Edit: Also Saintress's Daughter being good friend with King+Queen's Daughter is pretty heartwarming

I find it strange that this romanticized story is still floating around. Maybe it is too optimistic for one person, but I would have expected Aini to dispel the narratives about the Saint and the Prince falling in love after experiencing firsthand that such outcomes are not entirely possible. We are at least fifteen years removed from when Aini was in the academy, yet girls are still operating under the same worldview she held back then. That seems odd to me.

I do not think even Aini would agree to live by the values she held during that period. It is puzzling that people still look at Aini from back then rather than Aini now, who should have matured considerably. Even if she created the equality she hoped for, she knows firsthand there are limits to what can truly be equalized. Romance and political marriages between the royal family and nobles fall into that category. Some structural divisions simply cannot be bridged no matter how much social progress occurs. That is precisely one of the message she should have spread during her pilgrimage. And unfortunately for RandomGirl and the (ex-)fiancé, they are going to discover that truth the hard way.

At least the main story ended in a good way. While the epilogue is kinda eh, at least the story ended rather than being dragged on for no reason ( Otome Flag for god sake, end the story already. Katarina is milked dry already )

A weird epilogue indeed. It's like the author wanted to say more with this epilogue than is possible to say with an epilogue of a single chapter. So, it could have been better to stick to a more traditional one, with some of the main cast members. Now this was just a pretty hollow "who are these characters?" ending.
