My guess is that, most of people in the story think that the story is dumb, and probably gonna die out one day, better not force it to dispel or it would create another rumor, let the actions of people tell the story.I find it strange that this romanticized story is still floating around. Maybe it is too optimistic for one person, but I would have expected Aini to dispel the narratives about the Saint and the Prince falling in love after experiencing firsthand that such outcomes are not entirely possible. We are at least fifteen years removed from when Aini was in the academy, yet girls are still operating under the same worldview she held back then. That seems odd to me.
I do not think even Aini would agree to live by the values she held during that period. It is puzzling that people still look at Aini from back then rather than Aini now, who should have matured considerably. Even if she created the equality she hoped for, she knows firsthand there are limits to what can truly be equalized. Romance and political marriages between the royal family and nobles fall into that category. Some structural divisions simply cannot be bridged no matter how much social progress occurs. That is precisely one of the message she should have spread during her pilgrimage. And unfortunately for RandomGirl and the (ex-)fiancé, they are going to discover that truth the hard way.
Thanks for the translation!
Who is the father of the saintess' child? Why can they use 'dark magic'?
Tho.... unless it's pure rng, Aini, how does your daughter got dark magic?!?
Who is the saintess husband that her daughter go to the darkside??
Guess Aini got demon king husband or something. I mean we have saintess, of course we gonna have demon king somewhere.
In the web novel, Aini ends up with a dark mage, most likely met during her journey to reform the church. Though that's all the information we get.Quite ironic that the saint who was forced to bear children to pass on her light magic ends up giving birth to a dark magic user. But it serves the higher church officials just right.
