The saintess's story didn't pass along the most important part, huh?

Looks like the trees were so close together the apple fell straight fucking down.

I have mixed feelings about this chapter to close out the manga, but I'm glad that everyone from the main story seems to be living a happy life.

I find it strange that this romanticized story is still floating around. Maybe it is too optimistic for one person, but I would have expected Aini to dispel the narratives about the Saint and the Prince falling in love after experiencing firsthand that such outcomes are not entirely possible. We are at least fifteen years removed from when Aini was in the academy, yet girls are still operating under the same worldview she held back then. That seems odd to me.

I do not think even Aini would agree to live by the values she held during that period. It is puzzling that people still look at Aini from back then rather than Aini now, who should have matured considerably. Even if she created the equality she hoped for, she knows firsthand there are limits to what can truly be equalized. Romance and political marriages between the royal family and nobles fall into that category. Some structural divisions simply cannot be bridged no matter how much social progress occurs. That is precisely one of the message she should have spread during her pilgrimage. And unfortunately for RandomGirl and the (ex-)fiancé, they are going to discover that truth the hard way.

Thanks for the translation!
My guess is that, most of people in the story think that the story is dumb, and probably gonna die out one day, better not force it to dispel or it would create another rumor, let the actions of people tell the story.
Sadly, either, because of King and Queen's "love actions" isn't as spicy as the mass would imagine, the story sound more romantic, or The Church is salty and still try to keep the story alive to keep their influence.
Also I would think that the Story is probably not as popular as it was, and only few still believe in them, which likely going to backfire on those believe in the fairytale (No F to the guy that's going to get Orva'd by his family soon)

i only enjoyed the story since the chapters were large and it was monthy. to me it was too perfect in many ways and thus lacked the drama or interest for much of it. i could have read the next step as easily since the pacing and montly release was giving me enough time to disregard my issues with the series. but it actually ended, huh?

it's been somewhat enjoyable, though the saintess turnaround felt too easily achieved. sure, within this last chapter, many years passed, enough to accept reality, but since most of the story was caused by this very person, it made the final chapters feel rather dumbed down for the sake of finishing the series.

Thanks for completing this series! The ending chapter was a bit of a whiplash, first few panels had me wondering who the F these people were. But happy to at least get a breadcrumb confirming that Bernadette became PM, became head of her house, and having Lucien marry into her house.

Overall I really liked how this story turned some tropes around, just wish we saw more of the main cast instead of the 2nd gen in the last chapter

Is that really the end? The epilogue in the previous chapter was already quite satisfying (except Sauri and especially Orva getting away too easily). But what was the point of this chapter?

The guy asks his fiancé, the first princess: "who are you? Right, I want to break up our engagement". Are we sure there is no mistake in the translation? How did a moron like that even pass the screening of our perfect royal power couple?

Quite ironic that the saint who was forced to bear children to pass on her light magic ends up giving birth to a dark magic user. But it serves the higher church officials just right.

Overall a nice manga. I had the pleasure of binging it all at once, I am not sure my assessment would have been the same if I had had to wait for releases. But instead of this awkward chapter it would have been better to just make the epilogue longer. More flirting or showing the girls bonding (the saint seemed like an actual friend to the "villainesses" in the future, that could have used some explaining).

Who is the father of the saintess' child? Why can they use 'dark magic'?
Tho.... unless it's pure rng, Aini, how does your daughter got dark magic?!?
Who is the saintess husband that her daughter go to the darkside??
Guess Aini got demon king husband or something. I mean we have saintess, of course we gonna have demon king somewhere.

In the web novel, Aini ends up with a dark mage, most likely met during her journey to reform the church. Though that's all the information we get.

Later, the unconventional Saint’s reforms threw the Church into an uproar, yet she came to be known in history as the "Saint of Salvation."
Legend also holds that she eventually united with a wielder of "Dark Magic"—her polar opposite—but that is a story for another time.

Weird ass ending, acting as a teaser for a sequel that apparently never materialized.

The dynamic between the princess and Aini's anti-saint daughter was fun, though.

I wish they had name tags or referred to each other by their names, because I was skimming through the chapter and it took me until the end to realise these are supposed to be next gen characters!

Tight, straightforward story. This final chapter's a bit bland, but I like how it leaves things open to interpretation... Spinoff where the Princess and the Saintess's daughter become girlfriends when..? hehe
