And there's the "Just don't have trauma," "Wow, thanks! I'm cured!" That I was worried about when Kurose's trauma was introduced.
Sometimes it's enough to have someone pat you on the back and say "well shit, but you're cool and I'm here for you". Especially if it's a girl you like. I swear I had something like this happen to me but even more cliche

What do you mean? One of his internal monologues is literally, "The failure that day, the things they said to me, the wounds in my heart...none of them were going to just disappear."
She didn't say don't just be traumatized, she reassured him she likes him for who he is, and she'll be there for him, and he accepted that he won't just be ok, but he's more at ease knowing he has someone on his side. That's...kind of how you support someone through trauma when you're a teenager that can't do anything about it

The author is not hitting the brakes and just went full drama mode huh?

It was pretty evident there was something Haimiya was hiding about herself but the fact that we’re delving into it right after learning about Kurose’s past traumas is kinda jarring.

Still, hope the author cooks (not in a way that they’ll burn the kitchen and we’ll have to add the “tragedy” tag to this manga).

he very explicitly said his wounds arent healed but her words will support him learn to read

she also didnt disregard any of his trauma she just expressed how she feels about the parts that relate to her in how its manifesting in this situation

God i felt that personally of what kurose says of him not having enough potential and failing others, made me shed a tear, but haimiya comforting him and telling him to let all his emotions out is the BEST thing a woman can do to their male friends or significant other because its words that can heal a man in their roughest moments. Idky people saying haimiya has some health problem at the end, this isn't ur tragic love story like your life in April or your name. She never showed any illness or things that affect her, unless her loving garlic is. But I think shes not going to school and the festival to ease kurose's trauma. She wants him to succeed without him worrying of failing her.
