@yanyanamy Bookworm is an english saying, since it's a japanese manga I doubt they're worm. The story has biblical references and the very first chapter refer to the monster as a snake, so yeah it's a snake.

I don't think it's gonna go that way, but Death was reading a transhumanist mag in an earlier chapter which claimed that tey would beat death one day. I wonder if 30 years in the future the tech is there and it's gonna be an important part of the story (I don't think so tho).
