Knock out the knights that she knows chaperon her to her assured death, and run away?
Use some sort of magic spell to run away before getting captured?
Run away to her family, which is obviously immensely powerful to the point they gladly invaded the castle to fight back?
This is clearly one of the more poorly thought-of settings for this series.

I feel like this could have had some potential if they focused more on the villainess and dragon being reincarnated, but they had to add the "romance" to it somewhere :///

Perhaps the author hopes to perk the interest in the readers enough to get the chance to make a series of it. Quite a few authors were able to do that using anthologys like this as a jumping point.

Why? That would result in the exact same thing where she's not allowed back into the country. She was exiled to begin with and the dragon was hunting in the area, it was going after her regardless and she didn't know they were trying to kill her on purpose.

Also they are knights, who says she can take on all of them at once? Especially in a carriage?

Why does she need to run away, when she's already at the dragon's territory? She can escape beforehand.
