The author shouldn't write scenes like that in the first place if the story has an eternal celibate main character. It's annoying for both those who don't want any romance and for those who do, but obviously know it's never going to happen in this story.
I don't think people want to admit how weird Japan is with this stuff in terms of writing. Weird as in bad. It always feels very juvenile. You either have this literal minor (high school teenager) going full Nick Cannon or you have them completely ignore how down bad everyone (who doesn't have a penis) around them is. Like in this series in particular the culture differences in romance seems wrought with opportunity for interesting conflict. And it's briefly touched upon here. A major reason the gorgons are having trouble is due to the sensibilities instilled by the awful goddess in humans. Shiki thinks about how hard it'll be for tomoe and mio (two major characters and female leads) because of the MC's own sensibilities. Part of their relationship and devotion to the MC is soaked in feelings of love and sexual attraction. But the MC himself is uncomfortable with those feelings. Good writing is addressing that imbalance and progressing their characters and relationship while also exploring the culture of the world and helping the MC reconcile with how very different of a social environment he is in compared to how he grew up all his life.
Here it started really interesting and it could've been developed more. How does the very very different biology of these different races affect their culture and create problems when they interact with other cultures? How has the goddess kept non human races in line through means other than just violence? How does the MC tackle an issue that's something as important as the reproduction of offspring for a species, when he himself is still very young and uncomfortable with sexual subjects? And I'd honestly say this chapter handles it better than most similar isekai will, but it still just comes off as so flat and a bit of a nothing waste of time. All that really happens is "Gorgons will make dresses from our world (could develop really interestingly look) and Lime will handle it." All that the audience really cares about is either defending the MC's choice to not have a sex or attacking it. It comes off as more of a distraction to the story than anything.
Instead it just gets played off for jokes or to like show how pure and innocent the main character is compared to all the "degenerates" around him or idk anger the people reading that are projecting and just want a power fantasy in every way possible. Neither route is good or bad, but
