This series is in an interesting position since it has no Light Novel and was directly adapted from the Web Novel.

However it seems the Mangaka has free reign to do whatever he wants with the story since he added stuff that was not in the Web Novel like Yuri meeting the Saintess last chapter which never hapened in the Web Novel.

You sure? The first volume of the novel was published in 2022 while the first manga volume came in 2023 so it's not the case of it being adapted to manga first either.. The differences you mentioned are likely caused by the mangaka adapting the novel instead of the webnovel.

The Mangaka is a newcomer. The only other manga he is currently working on is this other recent manga. Before this, he was an artist who posted his works on Twitter.

I can think of a few Web Novel adaptations:

• A Reincarnated Carrier’s Strategy for Another World's mangaka got approval to add new encounters to the Web Novel, having started it at the fifth web book. It's pretty much just an expanded version of the story.
• Rebel Hero: I Will Use My Skills to Control the Scheming Princess’s Heart and Body pretty much did a straight up Web Novel adaptation, but cranked the hentai aspect up to eleven. Which is making the plot drag.
• Life as a Cheat Magician that began with a False Judgment started adapting the Light Novel version, but ran out of LN and switched to adapting the Web Novel, with most changes being to make the protagonist more morally upright.

This manga certainly is racking up more and more holes, like how did a bunch of highwaymen bandits not notice another wagon approaching them on the only road, the MC literally had time to watch it all unfold in a not that far off distance, no lookouts nor a single one of the bandits looking at that direction or hearing a horse-drawn carriage approaching??
