I know this isn't the talk most were looking for (we'll have to wait a bit more for that) but in my opinion it's still a very important chapter since it shows a bit of Eri's pov.

Ps: her monologue from page 13 is actually her monologue from chapter 10.

THANK GOD HER MONOLOGUE FROM CHAPTER 10 SHOWED UP NOW. Seriously, i thought that this monologue was foreshadowing the end of their relationship when chp 10 released, but now i see that it's just about Eri grieving for her attitude towards fuyuki in the past while still determined to not lose Fuyuki any more than she already did.

LETS GO GIRLS, BRING THE HAPPY ENDING HOME😭😭😭😭😭

I truly, truly hope that they work it out.
It still feels like it could all fall apart, but I'm choosing to believe in optimism instead.
Eri knows now, and the through line has always been Fuyuki for her.
Fuyuki stopped running away from her feelings at last, and once again has run toward Eri.
So....maybe, under the stars, a wish can come true.

also every time I see this update I get a small spike of giddy anxiety (not a bad kind, I don't think) and then I see the most recent volume cover illustration of Fuyuki and I wanna cry a little

The artwork is so emotionally enrapturing, I have to go back and read everything multiple times because I keep getting sucked into the smallest details in facial expressions and posture and placement within each panel and all the negative space used to air out the pacing of it all.

Like fine art with a beautifully sad yuri story attached for good measure (though hopefully, it won't stay sad for long).

This is one of those rare situations where both outcomes (getting together or parting ways) are completely fine. But if they get together, Eri needs to lay a proper foundation to make it happen. Not something like "i rather date you than lose you". That's a disaster.
Both of those endings are compelling, though I wonder what chapter 1 was about if they do split here.

I do think Eri wouldn't pull that sort of maneuver, though - not at this point, after everything's been brought to light.
I do think she would do whatever it took to keep Fuyuki in her life, but it wouldn't be a compromise, or a "tit-for-tat" sort of transactional thing. I suspect Eri has fully internalized on a conscious level just how much Fuyuki means to her, but also realizes that she can no longer be the person she's been, and behave the way she has, toward Fuyuki from this point onward.

"I won't cry anymore" to me sounds like a declaration from Eri to change her ways, to stop being so one-sidedly selfish in her reliance on Fuyuki, asking for every little thing and assuming that, as long as she was by Fuyuki's side, whatever form their relationship had was "good enough". Because now she knows that's no longer the case.
I do think that if Fuyuki wants a romantic relationship, Eri would say yes. She does love Fuyuki, in a way that seems deeper, more profound than romantic love, even. But I also think she would accept a friendship where she's kept at arm's length, as long as she didn't have to say goodbye to Fuyuki entirely.

To me that feels distinct from the "bad route" you mentioned, anyway. Less Eri trading a relationship for continued access to Fuyuki, and more Eri committing to becoming the person she needs to be, for her and Fuyuki to be happy together.

I will be frank. I don't want the story to make Eri "Fuyuki sexual" if you know what i mean. Yuri as a genre LOVES that shit but just be realistic and mature about it for once. Than you could say "why make the story a yuri at all if they won't get together?", well, Fuyuki is, undoubtedly, a lesbian and this has been her story.

Eri does indeed care about her a lot but romantic (and sexual) love is something entirely different. Eri who fucked her boyfriend without a second thought (and given absolutely no thought about Fuyuki "in that way", not even romantic way) suddenly becoming bisexual for the sake of them getting involved romantically moving forward doesn't really sit well with me.

That's fair.
My take on Eri's deal is that she's very reactive/passive when it comes to relationships. I don't think she had ever confessed to someone; it had always been done to her. So if she doesn't really get romance, and relationships to her are all experienced reactively, then stuff like sex would just be "what is expected of her", and not something she's actively seeking.

When she did sleep with Kyo, it was off the back of being mad at Fuyuki for ditching her on her birthday for Fuyuki's senpai.
Eri also had her conversation with her seatmate during class where she'd asked if it was proper to prioritize lovers over friends. She was likely asking, trying to put Fuyuki's change in behavior into perspective (was Eri being de-prioritized for the first time in forever, from her perspective), and she resolved that if that was the case, she'd have to accept it.
So when they had sex, what Eri didn't know is that Kyo asked Fuyuki to lie and give him space with Eri that day. I don't know if he then initiated the sex and Eri responded, but to me her having sex with Kyo was trying to prioritize her lover relationship, and she had no way of knowing at the time the truth behind the whole setup beacuse it was hidden from her.

So to me that doesn't say "Eri is suddenly bi-/Fuyukisexual because Plot", that just says "Eri doesn't understand her own sexuality and always relies on the cues she thinks she gets from others". She says herself in this chapter that she can't read the room, or read the soft tells of others, and has to rely on tangible things to know what's happening--which took the form of passively waiting until someone else moved, and then reacting or reciprocating as she thought was best in that moment.

But with Fuyuki, she's active in her pursuing her. Even as Eri does everything she can to get Fuyuki to come running to give her time and attention, she's still the one performing the action, to reach out to Fuyuki, and has been all this time.
So while she might never before now have though of Fuyuki in a romantic or sexual manner, Fuyuki remains the one person in her life she's been proactive about when it comes to their relationship. That is such a marked difference from everyone else, that I suspect a relationship that progresses through all the intimacy levels would make sense for them, even if it didn't happen at the outset.

Hence why I think that even gradual romantic or sexual feelings between them could conceivably develop, and possibly in a way where Eri isn't just "reacting to her partner of the moment"--especially as she's resolved to make the changes in herself necessary to never hurt Fuyuki again in the way she has.

I do wish the monologue from ch 10 was more of a real BE though, and not Eri mourning over her past behavior.

I'm probably in the minority that doesn't want Fuyuki and Eri to end up together(or at least if they do, let that be in the distant future)
For me, Eri needs time to grow. She needs need more friends too tbh. She's been quite self centered and it didn't quite sit well with me that even after 'prioritizing' Fuyuki so much, she never even noticed Fuyuki had been self harming herself everytime she's in a relationship. Granted she doesn't have to connect the 2 together but I think it'd be pretty obvious if the person you're always hanging out are covered with inexplicable bruises/scratches, right?
And no, I don't hate Eri. I just don't find them a good match right now(and to be honest, I'd like some more angst wherein it's Fuyuki moving on with someone new - and this time not some play pretend - and Eri this time catching feelings)

Same with Fuyuki. I think she'd benefit letting her world grow and not anchoring her life on Eri. Tbf, a few chapters back, I thought Fuyuki had come to the tipping point of being in love with Eri has become too tiring for her heart(loving someone and being in love with them are very different). I think this is probably why I can't support them very much.

Unfortunately, as much as fun it's been, with the possible HE ending I don't quite feel happy. I really wish I feel the same as everybody else, then I'd be enjoying this a lot more.

But it's Shinoa so I dunno.

I binge read the past 10ish recent chapters (and also cried while reading) and I have thoughts....

Why did the author do my girl Kisaki like that, are you kidding she liked her step father!!! Why would the author go in that direction for my favorite character!! I was hoping for her to actually confess her feelings to Fuyuki but no that hasn't happened... I really wanted her to end up with Fuyuki. My poor girl can't even get a happy ending not only that but if she does it might just be with some random (hopefully) girl we might not meet :aquadrink:

I don't even know how to feel at this point about Fuyuki and Eric being together. It feels like a forced happy ending in my opinion if that's end game.
Well I look forward to the updates this time imma keep up again cause I missed too much.

Thank you for the translation!!!
