Is she starting to get the ick from Gomi after he said he sucks at everything? It would be about time but would also be weird that it didn't happen earlier.
tbh her character doesn't make sense or feel believable anyway.

Going by her reactions and facial expressions and how she has acted as a whole all this time it is pretty believeable IMO.
There are multiple instances of abuse going on. Husband tormenting her phsyically and mentally, raped her literally this chapter. Mom guilt triping and manipulating her for years on end, financially exploiting her.
I would agree if you were to say "seems a bit over the top and random forcing the whole reveal into like 10 panels". That absolutely was a poor decision and it ended up mostly tiresome.

There are a lot of people that experience what she does that then take it out on people around and turn into abusers themselves. Pulling MC into her abyss must be somewhat comforting by not being alone and having agency over something for once (does not excuse what she is doing tho even if MC is a creep and did something criminal)

We can have a view on her real life. Her family suck. Her hubby, well now we have an eta on him. And seeing the hole in the room as noticed by some, there is sign of violence. Now domestic or not ? but it's a loser.
No wonder she is like that and dream of a prince.

The mc is perfect to be her loophole, easy to manipulate (like saying she wish to marry a guy like in the anime, after the whole marry me by the mc when talking by phone)

So is she just sick of Jirou now? The panel of her face when she tells him she's gonna leave shows her eyes dark and cloudy. It could be she's avoiding being actually lovey dovey or emotionally intimate with him which would be what he was trying to do with the ice cream ect. Couple that with his inability to leave a hickey.

Idk she seems to accept and like his loser tendencies since it makes her feel like she's better by comparison. So maybe she is just avoiding anything more serious intimacy wise or something that can be considered a date now that she already has him to the point of sleeping together?

Came here to say this. Should have been 10 chapters of this interspersed with bits of happiness for a nice hot-and-cold. It should have been a long tense buildup where this could happen instead of just sudden. This pacing feels like the manga got axed at the end of this volume.

In Japan you can't get a divorce if one party does not consent, which is very likely the case here.
Would need to go through court which may still reject it (albeit unlikely in this case, as long as she can prove abuse), meaning extra time, expenses, stress, and social stigma.

It might also be that this is an arranged marriage and she needs to uphold it for reasons we're not privy to.

Lol. It has a similar pace as the mangaka's previous work where it started slow and then suddenly picked up speed towards the end. So I won't be surprised if it all ends in a volume or 2.

Also notice how, in the room where the two spoke, the walls were full of holes. A sign of (domestic) violence. This corroborates her story about her husband being violent toward her.

Now, whether her husband is related to her in any way is up in the air, but so far nothing indicates it.
