The notes are appreciated. This manga's really something special. I remember an earlier chapter where the two are at a bookstore and Mio just stops and stares at a book about cars for children. It was such a powerful example of the reframing of the world that happens when you're grieving, and they didn't HAVE to explain how she felt. She probably couldn't have even put it into words.

Excellent TL Note, definitely would've missed the nuance on that ch title as it was in English. Think you still pulled it off well enough as the consternation is palpable in the build up during this chapter to carry through that underlying frustration with, "What am I even doing right now?" Without being said, that question is playing out repeatedly in the background of not just the chapter, but the whole manga and like a rubber band under tension it snapped, both in the past and the present, that became the driving force of Mio to act.

Thanks for the ch, and these TL notes have always been great insight into the deliberation that the author writes with!

Jesus, I will need to read some brainless romcom to cheer myself up after this chapter. Thanks for the translation!

This is the chapter I wanted the most for other people to see translated.
This is the big reveal, what Mio's real problem is.
She feels like she killed her son.

@occu, have you red either of the previous versions? I found this somewhat unnecessarily stretched out, so I wonder if I would prefer them (as they are single volumes).

first of all, mad disrespectful to call it stretched out when kanemoto authored both the original self-published doujin and this "full" version
second, the original is ~140-odd pages long and doesn't really indulge in explaining about doubara or mio's backstories/lives past "we were high school classmates". a lot of the main plot beats are the same. meet at restaurant, make him go with her to different places isekai LNs/manga talk about, and then it kind of skips to where we are now - her breaking down in his apartment, going to the bridge, being saved. it doesn't really go into her story as a mother unlike the chapters we're reading now. then it kind of ends there after a quick resolution with a small sidestory about him doing a comiket with her.
