I know we are talking about the potential pairing, but I just gotta chime in here and say how Claire really cares about Lienna. It's just so heartwarming that the reason she keeps going on is to protect her close friend's smile. It's also pretty heartwarming to see that Lienna wasn't despised by everyone in the army (I'm not counting on Miguel since he realized after the fact how important Lienna was. He still had his prejudices beforehand)

Also, Lienna was so ADORABLE as a child (when we see her actually smile)
