Reynold, someone who supposedly hates Penelope uncompromisingly (judging by his attitude towards her until now), is suddenly shocked and at a loss...out of compassion, of all things? And Penelope, someone supposedly with a "do whatever it takes to survive" mindset, suddenly completely ignores...
I am ashamed to admit that it took me until the middle of this chapter to realize a simple truth hinted at via the doubts the MC had, the "advice" left by Inheritance Elder etc. The pool's location was known to three people, not two.
"And you will pay for your sins with death" by the king is a peculiar phrase, if not an accidental mistake of the original and/or translation: being killed as punishment for something is "paying with your life". By that logic, "paying with death" would imply the opposite, and exactly what...
Unless there is some sort of "twisted" catch, I expect localized time rewind, it fits with the idea that healing restores things to their previous/original state. Or a twist that follows the mindset that sometimes you need to completely destroy the old before building the new.
This manga never had a reboot or anything of the sort, has it? The premise reminds me of something with a similar setup that I read a few chapters of some time ago: reincarnation, "fat noble", maid, diets...except in that one the first chapters focused more on the MC addressing the...
@Seracila "a tiny bit" is something I would expect. The whole affair resulting in "obtaining" dreams/goals to strive for, which would result in the egg hatching. Unless the idea is to have him haul it everywhere for countless chapters.
@beeqwop My first thought was: gaining enough trust for the eventual marriage between Zenkichi/Carlos and a girl from Sharowa, so that they might have a way to influence - even a little is enough - the Capua kingdom. When eventually the two have a child, Sharowa will essentially have gained a...
I expected more...composure?....flexibility/integrity?...of the mind from someone who took control of a ship, used it to sink others, then took control of an android, turned the tables by little more than wondering whether kung-fu would work...and had to escape with someone who goes KYA KYA over...
The first half felt weird as a couple lines from Mio explained their reactions from previous chapter far better than...whatever Tomoe was trying to do.
Semi-related to that, in terms of character development I would rather prefer the four Alkeys (Arkes?), Mio and Tomoe seem to have "stagnated"...
For some reason, I am bothered by Nightingale, or rather her design: when she was introduced she seemed...graceful, proud, confident, but somewhere along the way she went from that to "yet another pretty girl" kind of design, and overly happy-go-lucky attitude. Because of that this battle just...
@Owyn According to Ch.3 it is possible to conjure [ranked] spirits. It IS warm and it CAN be used as a place to "rest your head", only one question remains: do lap pillows count as "warm beds"?
Same idea as, for example, conjured weapons in Skyrim: the weapon simply needs to be magic itself taking form. Weak point: if a spell can be "accelerated" using another spell (flinging it using a bow would be but one of many methods), someone would have come up with some of them eventually...
@Valla This "somewhat normal life" is the reason things become nonsensical. At this point all it looks like is Ephthal let someone suffer for the sake of concealing his abilities. Yet he displays all those emotions at their demise. In other words, Ephthal prioritized concealing his power over...
@Mangon Not everyone shares the "doing something for free implies immunity from criticism" mentality. And swearing doesn't reinforce the argument, either.
Two things bothering me:
1. what was Arnos's "Magical Clock" for? Is it related to the solution somehow?
2. "The moment Sasha violated the contract I cancelled Zekt" - is the "contract" the one in this chapter? I don't see how she could violate it, especially since the conditions for fulfilling...
