Atleast going by MAL Iken Senki Völundio is not even a spin-off, but "alternative setting". So very very losely connected if at all. I think thats for the better though, I doubt a real sequel would be satisfying not that Helck and Vamirio have split up.

Im surprised a through and through great manga like this is not more popular, I mean there are 1 or 2 things I dont think are "great", but what makes this outstanding is nothing is bad - not a single thing. The worst I can say is the author overdid it during the final battle with the escalations...

Actually nice epilogue. Its the anti-SnK, where an already bad ending got made worse by the extra chapter. Here an already good ending got even better! 7d chess Raphaed is back on the menu, he is just too much of a tsundere to admit he was rooting for Helck the entire time.

Never mind the "nobody dies but the bad guy" ending, despite all the drama introduced with the flashback arc it was quite obvious. But am I the only one disappointed with this ship not sailing?! I also loved Alicia during her arc, but she completely ceased to be a character shortly after her...
