The author already uses the word 闇 (Darkness) to refer to the Realm of Darkness as a whole.

@abconline, In previous chapters, the author portrayed Lovisa from the perspective of other people. This chapter displayed her own intentions (her thoughts were not shown before to keep an air of mystery). Moral of the story: You have to listen to both sides before making a judgement.
