As stupidly pointless as this chapter was in the grand scheme, I think chapters like this to strengthen the bonds of the harem are important. Ultimately they realized that fighting for his attention at the sake of the others isn't worth it, which is a conclusion most harems don't reach as they continuously fight for first place. Overall, kind of boring but important for character development

I know that sometimes the official was not from the author but from the official TL, and i’m still miffed that sometimes you get an official TL that’s just fucking bad and/or uncreative with names. IIRC they fucked up officially translating Re:Monster’s names on vol 1, and had to fix the names on later vols. And then there’s the whole Asta vs Aster thing for Black Clover when the first officials came out.
