Who's messing with the tags? It's not "supernatural" since that's a tag for weird things happening in a nonmagical world. It's also not "slice of life" since it isn't a relaxed, low-intensity plot narrative. It isn't "isekai" since the protagonist didn't go into a whole other universe, he just went back in time. And it also isn't "martial arts" since there has been zero mention of any kind of martial art. Not to mention a few others that are iffy.

I wasn't feeling it so far because it seemed like cookie cutter bullshit, but now that it looks like a change the mistakes of the past to help the future story I'm pretty down for it. A lengthy rework of a broken system would be simply amazing.

I guess you're correct. Shadow world (as far as the manga has explained) is more of a dungeon. I guessed isekai definition is kind of cloudy at time.

This is just a time regression series, Nidome no Yuusha is an example of isekai + time regression.
