I think it very much depends on the people, how well you communicate, and the circumstances behind the breakup. Personally, I'm still friends with most of the people I've dated in the past, but I do realize that's a privileged position -they all ended with adult conversations recognizing that we weren't happy in a romantic relationship together, or that it just wasn't the right time for us, and so on. Can't say I was that lucky with all my relationships, but the ones that didn't end cleanly like that, we haven't even entertained the idea of being in one another's life after.

This is very relatable, I split up with my ex in a respectful way with much gratitude, we simply had different priorities and agreed that splitting up would be the healthier choice for both of us. Now about 10 years later, my wife and my ex are very good friends and our daughter's are getting amazingly along together.

thats fucked up. Dating someone despite having 0 romantic feelings for them? It's the same as a straight person dating a someone of the same gender just to "experiment". She was just experimenting with mai's feelings to see if she would fall in love. When she confessed say "I dont like you that way, but i want to stay friends" easy as that.

The old chapters were previously released in halves and ended on an unintended cliffhanger on Mangadex; you can still see those uploads and the comments that came with them. The second part of chapter 5 came a bit after the first part, so people didn't have a full understanding of the chapter until later.
