1st. The "Villainess"/"FMC" has said shit about liking the MC, other people said for her...
2nd. the only thing she said it's the contract between families that was made.

in the end made the chapter weaker.

(reads page 17) THANK YOU, A MANGA FINALLY GET THIS RIGHT! I get that it's just a common set up, but I really am happy this writer understands this kinda arranged marriage is a binding legal agreement that may even predate the 2 getting marrieds birth, and a Prince cannot 1 sidedly annul it.

"with hair and eyes as dark as the night" mother fuckers have never heard of the colour brown before.

"cloaked in shadows since birth" is another picture of him, now as an adult, with... brown hair and hazel eyes. They must have wicked air pollution over there if that's what night time looks like to them.

There's something so funny and so awkward about the fact that he waits to break off the engagement until his fiancee is bringing them back drinks. Like, now she not only has this huge drama going on, but she also has to stand there completely uncertain about what to do with this pair of champagne flutes she's holding.

"Do... do I put them on the... floor? Can I hand them to someon-OH HEY MAGIC CHAINS SOLVED THE PROBLEM."

This is literaly him taking the same thing as what happened regulary in Japan for a long time with kid who had blond hair. People with blond hair were considered to be delinquent and other derogatory terms, even if it was their real hair color. The only thing author did was change the air color.
So yeah, it is believable.
Reminds me of that dude that had natural curly hair and the school was demanding him straighten his hair
