I am genuinely excited to see Aini's perspective honestly. I'd love to see what she's been thinking beneath her facade of ignorance.
Refreshing, both the prince and our best girl are on the same page. Their relationship may not be based on love but on true mutual respect and vision. That's royalty
They actually DO love each other, this is made VERY CLEAR in the epilogue! But there are still idiots making rumors that their relationship isn't good and they'll break up, all because the two are CLASSY when it comes down to that love! Namely they don't go all "lovey dovey" publicly and all that shit! Their daughter points out "HER AND HER MANY SIBLINGS should be PROOF of that love" which is why she's surprised there's STILL idiots talking like that! The two ALWAYS remember their wedding anniversary and give each other gifts on it!
It's just the idiotic as said "People thinking being PUBLIC about everything is PROOF of something" like morons! Not even the Prince's FAULT much for the misunderstandings, that's more the fault of the idiots who made the misunderstanding! Yes that includes Ms. Saintess, but in her case, it's meant to be a HUMBLING one because she DID have a sense of arrogance in that she THOUGHT she truly understood people! So the saintess apprentice is going to openly runaway. NGL I kinda find that stupid on multiple levels. Not only because the house staff and security should have noticed the departure, but should also actively prevented her from doing so.
Oh sure it would be done politely, mostly with "protocol" used as a delaying tactic while the lord or most senior staff is informed about the unexpected and more importantly, unescorted noble lady leaving the house.

Ani isn't malicious on purpose or doing it to be a bitch, she REALLY DOES have a kind heart, she's just ignorant on specific behaviors and ethic which befits her type of character! Like with Bernadetta who she compares to her bio half sister and stepmother! And she isn't wrong! Just not so in that Bernie was more taking her RESENTMENT which rightfully should have been aimed at her Sperm Donor out on Ani! Her brother for example is IGNORANT to the fact Bernie didn't "burn out disappointly" but instead was PURPOSELY suppressed by their Sperm Donor and his mother BECAUSE they know she'll run circles around him if she wasn't! She felt it was her FATE and nothing she could do, so yeah she WAS a bitch for taking it out abit on Ani, the LEAST if not at all responsible for her situation! It's thanks to a CERTAIN VILLAINESS encouragement Bernie realizes her potential and the fact she's more SELF-SABOTAGING along with her father and stepmom's sabotage of her which does her no good
Ani's flaw is that she's too intrusive where she shouldn't be! She mistakenly thought Seraphina was too cold and that Erik was chaffing when he was NOT! Ani is a Well Intentioned IDIOT, so once things are made CLEAR TO HER, she gets embarrassed abit, but acknowledges that it was LARGELY more her fault for misunderstanding then it was Sera and Erik's! This was WHY she hat to learn Etiquette after all (Though Bernie has much to blame for letting her resentment which never should have been laid on Ani get in the way of properly teaching her, some parts her brother SHOULD butt the fuck off of! But others, he wasn't wrong in Bernie being kind of a bitch towards Ani with!) At best the only ASSHOLE who's behavior and actions are inexcusable in the story would be Orva. And he RIGHTFULLY loses everything without even getting ANI since turns out he forgot that KINDNESS he praised Ani for would mean she would NOT TAKE IT WELL finding out how he mistreated Sandra

Ani becomes known as "The Saintess of Rebellion" as her last conversation with Bernadetta (this is AFTER she finally stands up for herself and SEIZES her future, by the way she becomes Prime Minister, the FIRST Female one AND becomes her Sperm Donor's Heir, don't know her brother's fate though) and decides to make "meaningful changes" within the Church! That is "going Martin Luther on their asses" LOL! Hence the name change. One of those is "choosing her own fate and Lover" with the man she chooses being a Dark Mage! They have a daughter who inherits her father's Dark Magic! Not much is described of her Husband! But knowing Ani's past and her now being "more careful around men" meaning she ISN'T going to go for guys similar to her "two former simps" but I think seeing how the Future Queen and King's daughter is her daughter's best friend! I assume she has no hard feelings towards the two, especially Erik, so a Man like him, only NOT engaged or promised to someone else as she DEFINANTELY LEARNED HER LESSON IN THAT REGARD LOL!
But yeah the Epilogue follows Sera and Erik's daughter (I believe the younger one as they have four kids I believe, and OLDER Daughter and Son, and another son younger then the daughter mentioned) going through her OWN "condemnation" by her now EX fiancee, a Duke's son abandoning her ARROGANTLY for a Baron's daughter! She doesn't fight it and Ani's daughter, who was watching, mocks the idiot, Sera's daughter not caring much for the idiot and more annoyed she has to FIND ANOTHER FIANCEE since as they make clear talking with each other, the fact the Ex STUPIDLY slighted THE FUCKING PRINCESS for a Baron's daughter! The most likely outcome when reality hits the smug fool is he'll be disowned and knock down to commoner! I think a joke is made if his "mistress" will still want anything to do with him once it's clear she "didn't outperform a Princess and rise into a Duchess, and wasted her time on a Dud" as it's noted he has brothers! A second and third one, meaning the likely outcome is the second will become heir and third will become the spare, while he'll get WORSE as the Third is usually given ADVANTAGES before they get knocked down to commoner to be a FUTURE ASSET to the family later on if they do make something of themselves! The fool won't even get THAT! Wonder how smug he'll be when his "precious TRUE LOVE" abandons him!
This is also where they talk about the "Rumors" that Sera and Erik might "get a divorce" and things aren't so good in the marriage! Which neither believe, ESPECIALLY the two's daughter who brings up the fact they keep their love PRIVATE that only their children know! Finding it STUPID those "Rumors" still have ANY steam in them despite the OBVIOUS fact THEY HAD FOUR KIDS NOW! Even under OBLIGATION, no couple that HATE each other would go over ONE if the first was a Boy, yet they had FOUR KIDS! As said in my other comment/spoiler! The two don't OUTWARDLY show their love, so idiots keep THEORIZING because of that that they don't love each other. They keep that to themselves! It started as respect, making the engagement work out because they weren't RESENTING EACH OTHER A SABOTAGING IT OUT OF STUPID SPITE! You notice that in ALOT of OTOME! The Manga about the Villainess having 24 hours to avoid her bad end is a perfect example as it's made clear the Prince is largely trying to ruin her out of SPITE AND RESENTMENT instead of being smart and quiet about it! FMC was nice enough to POINT THAT OUT TO HIM AFTER HE SCREWED HIMSELF! Alot of these Otome always have the Prince "STBX" always act in RESENTMENT to his "lack of choice" so THAT is why ERIK is the rare REFRESHING subversion, where he's ALOT like the "Second Prince's who exist to replace those losers when they inevitable get DISINHERITED for their PURSUIT of "freedom over duty" (Turns out their Wishy washy assholes in the end, they WANT freedom, but they WANT the power their DUTY gives them at the same time! Cake Eaters "get NEITHER" LOL) and he and Seraphina DO fall in love eventually PAST their "Duty" during their marriage BECAUSE they don't RESENT each other! That's a nice observation from the writer that SOME Arranged marriages CAN work out if the two are compatible already AND learn to communicate instead of FIGHTING each other because of resentment better DIRECTED at the MORE DESERVING their too CHICKEN SHIT to do so at, THEIR PARENTS!

It's been stated before, but it is refreshing to have the royal couple understand that their relationship is done as a duty to their people and nation, not necessarily for love. They understand their roles and their views towards each other, and maintain a positive relationship. They're partners in leading the nation before any romantic feelings come up, and that's kinda the norm historically for royal/political marriages.

Getting the prince's perspective really changes my impression of him, he's a good kid after all! Even if he is a bit autistic.

I don't think this is her running away. So far every time the pov shifts we return to the past. So I think that the panel of Aini with baggages might be when she originally left her father's house to go to that of Bernadette's family.

Also, arguably more stable. Because "love" necessitates emotional involvement, and if there are two people you don't want to suddenly get in fights where emotions end up dictating actions and outcomes, it's the two people responsible for a nation's worth of souls.

Anyone else feel his - my hands are for holding the future queen Seraphina's hands - moment is styled to suggest he does love her / him falling more in love with her? (Not that they don't prioritise the nation, just that they also have grounded feelings for eachother, but are awkward/ignorant about their own feelings)
