@bagofsaltysalt if you like the failing at being a villainess part I'd recommend Tearmoon Empire. Sadly I haven't read a manga with a cute couple with the same chemistry as they do, but Is it Fortune or Is it Woe has a very natural friends to lovers development

@Ashlinsama where it ends on chapter 11 on the manga, on the LN there's about 8 chapters left until the end of vol 1 of the LN and i checked the raws, 2 chapters left for this arc and it seems like they're not just stopping there since Chapter 14 pt. 1 (Manga, which btw is the part that I've been waiting the illustrated the most lol) shows the scene on the first chapter of volume 2 (LN)

@Ashlinsama IDK how far the manga is gonna go because the LN is still ongoing on volume 8 (sorry abt saying how i knew how it will end, i guess i should've clarified that it was abt the current arc) and that's over 200+ LN chapters

i had to rely on google MTL for the LN since so far no one is continuing fan translations

@Ashlinsama its hard to tell since MTL doesn't exactly translate the chapters as good as fan translations but I'm not really too picky on what i read lol... expect the same as you would with the current story, fluffy and funny

I saw this link to vote for a manga to be turned into an anime on another thread and daughter of albert house is one of the nominee. Wouldn't hurt to vote no??

Anyone else feel like this is being dragged out longer than it needs to be? How many times are you going to try to create drama from Mary refusing to tell Addie about her downfall?

As I catch up on this from the beginning I find that I can't connect to his the way I do with the handful of other otome game/villainess isekai series. I think it's mostly because they haven't really satisfactorily explained Mary's acceptance of her fate. I get that fatalism/the universe taking its course/destiny/whatever is a big philosophical bent in some cases, but it sucks ass as a storytelling crutch because it means the characters are just passengers along for the ride. Even if she's actively trying to push Alice or whatever her name is to achieve a proper ending according to the game, the fact that she's OK with being reduced to nothing because "it's what's supposed to happen" is dumb spineless laziness. Katrina or Bertia or any of the other major otome/villainess series protags usually tried to push the story along but allow for an escape hatch for themselves that would mean they didn't need to suffer and that made sense. Mary just going "I'm gonna live in poverty, whatevs" doesn't make her endearing at all.

Granted I'm only at chapter 5 so there's plenty of time to turn things around, but it's not an auspicious start.

This is one of the most disappointing villainess manga. In a genre which is essentially parody, it feels like the sort of manga that should be parodied/made fun of instead.

I love this series. Been reading it since 6 years ago, and it’s like a drug that has you keep rereading it again and again no matter your age.

I just recently finished the novel and the story is great, if you are a fan of master x servant (or just social heriarchy different) relationship, then this is the one for you! Even if you aren’t, give it a try, you may just love it.

As a girl, i hope i can find a love like the manga in the future.

yep I haven't read this one for a while, so I started to read it again and damn I feel like I'm getting depressed by how bland it gets. (the "of course I'll claim palimony" is times lot better)
