Depending on the line, the most suitable marriage in case one member of the couple died early (with or without children) was to remarry with the sibling of the diseased partner to ensure that line wasn't disputated and the inheritance could pass through that union.

Now, if we include love, something that in the past only idle people from the dominant class could enjoy, depending on the society it'd not matter even if there was no issue with the lineage, and in case there'd be problems by making it public it would simply remain a secret, having a marriage with a suitable partner and leaving the incestuous relationship as a private matter (even having a lover has different levels of acceptance from a traditional perspective). If you dig enough in historical figures from any discipline, you'd start finding things that you may find unacceptable but they were normal in their time or not but you can't deny their existance or the fact that love was behind their actions. But if you want to talk about nowadays, from a legal point of view here two same-sex siblings can marry, from a social POV in many places second degree incest is not an issue and from a LGTBIQA+ perspective no one can judge you with who you go to bed with (as long as you're not breaking a law, of course).
