I'm probably going to shock a lot of people, but I think the MC could very well end up with Rua, for the simple reason that we constantly follow these two characters, the girl he has in mind every time is Rua, and in chapter 9 he notices a potential kindness on her part.

I think your missing the part where the "potential kindness" is just an act because she was forced to do it.

While i can understand why you would mention that the MC will probably end up with Rua, its also important to mention that she is currently simply said the main antagonist in this story. So it makes sense that she comes up a lot, also until a few chapters ago, she was his main focus as the "childhood friend".
