Why is it that they keep sending one person after our runaway pair? They have both shown that they're strong and dangerous enough to take on multiple people at once (sure one of them is still recovering). Honestly, the noble lady and her subjects are just asking for constant defeat. Serves them right.

Damm, doing an introspect but this is yet another work of Hamita that they somehow self-derail, from a cute daily life with an odd slave and her owner to now this, this is their third work I read where they pull this stunts :angery: can we get back to what this was before please?

Probably a budget issue. Nobody ever has the money to do it right the first time but somehow you always find the money to do it right the second time. Or, in this case, the third or fourth time.

I don't think Hamita can stay on track. Everything they do seems destined to careen off from its original premise into different and potentially unsatisfying or excessively weird directions. Even that "Scary girl, cute girl" series that went for a fair amount of time being moderately fluffy SOL school romcom with tiny touches of drama went rogue for a bit and then finished on a monumentally unsatisfying note.

I think we just have to accept that the real pain with Hamita isn't what they put the characters through, it's that they tease us with a good time and then go walkabout like a cruel sort of "gotcha!" joke.

Don't forget there still war going on, they can't spread their forces simply because some slave punched the spoiled princess. I could imagine parents being not happy that they lose one good knight because of this as well

There is a near-infinite number of vanilla slice of life rom-com mangas around, why don't you read those? I enjoy Hamita's work because he keeps us guessing all the time, why would we want him to be yet-another tropey writer?

Maybe next time he could write an isekai where the protagonist is a bullied underdog with a secret OP skill chosen by the gods themselves, that would definitely be a breath of fresh air, wouldn't it?

Sigh
Nice greek god reference, also maybe this is set in greece?
Latona is the Roman equivalent of Leto/Lato, so more likely it's set somewhere in ancient Rome. Plus, as far as I know, there weren't knight-like positions in ancient Greece, but in ancient Rome there were the Equites, or just plain regular knights in the medieval Byzantine Empire.

There is a war going on and they are on the enemy country. The first noble did ditch of his company for the sake of glory through.
