I don't understand why people want to just toss the premise of the manga out the window. I've always wanted Asumi to end up with Mai, not because it's a realistic expectation, but because it's a romantic one. I mean, really, is the idea that she ends up with the one she loved all those years ago so bad? Yeah it's unrealistic, but who cares. It's fluffy and sweet. Finding a long lost childhood friend through endless amounts of lesbian sex isn't exactly the most realistic story ever, and I don't know why people want realism from it.

I don't think this story will end in a monogamous relationship in the end. Her relationship with Nanao no where near romantic and i can't see her being ok with Asumi still visiting Brothels on long term. Asumi was lost in the flow for a second but she remembered the plot of the manga at the end there lol. She just loves sex and thats pretty obvious.

I think she will sleep with the entire tokyo branch next, looking for Mei. I don't see Nanao's future prospects too good unless story ends with a harem. Which i believe it will.

It's so frustrating how the author is doing this. Like, I understand the entire point is our MC visiting lesbian brothels but with the girl she's looking for getting no screen time and even then being used mostly to tease us so relentlessly...

I find it infuriating to come back to that plot point as if it was the most normal thing in the world AND THEN DO THE SAME STUPID ASS BARELY-MISS-EACH-OTHER THING IMMEDIATELY.

Screw you! Properly close the plot on her FwB thing with the other girl instead of trying to make it blow up with Asumi not properly communicating with her and leaving her as a mess! Nanao doesn't deserve that.

Honestly becoming a little frustrated with the progression of this story. Like, ok so the friend is just going away now so we know that they're not going to meet for a while? I get that the story is just pretense for the sex scenes but at this point it's so absurd it's almost getting in the way.

I find it easier to be invested in a relationship where the characters... actually interact and develop a bond. Mai and the childhood friend crush thing are cute and all, but Mai has not interacted with Asumi this whole time (outside of the flashback), and has only barely been developed through interactions with the other brothel members. On the other hand, I have seen Asumi and Nanao slowly give into their thirst for each other, and have lots of great sex.

Also Imo, something about Asumi and Nanao's relationship will need to change for anything to actually happen, because as Asumi pointed it's basically a sugar mommy situation and that's not a very comfortable position to be in. Queer relationships can be a confusing mess especially when you end up in these sorts of fwb but with one romantic love situations added on top of being paid to live with them.

You know whats the big deal? This is a Bimonthly manga. Wanna know what happens when a Bimonthly manga goes for +10 chapters without even slightly progressing on the initial premise? People stop caring/drop it.

We have known Nanao for 13 chapters now, that translates into more than half of what we have of the series and into more than a year irl AAAAND in that time we have seen her struggles with her crush for Asumi and how her mind worked. This is a slow af mess of a manga that has made sure Mai stays fucking INVISIBLE thorough the whole series while giving us non stop Nanao x Asumi IN COMPARISON, FUCK WE HAVE PPL THAT NEARLY FORGOT HOW SHE LOOKED LIKE, THATS NOT NORMAAAAAL

You can kinda see the direction of the manga from the beginning, it was just supposed to be a sexy manga using a simple plot as a loose pretense to showcase some kinky lesbian sex. I’m guessing the readers liked the interpersonal relationships that developed (as tends to happen in good yuri) so the author spent more time on it. The fact that it’s so popular and even has an overseas release speaks to how much people like this series.

However, I think the author inadvertently explored a side plot with Nanao a bit too much which has overtaken the main plot in development, cuteness, and “loveable-ness” if that’s a word. Asumi x Nanao could honestly be a separate series with different characters because of how precious they are together (their first date together for example was peak yuri). But, I guess the author/editors want the series to return to its roots which I’m personally mixed about.
