Nah, I think the Matlock Incident refers to the MC solving the incident. But If you're referring to the indication that Matlock has been selling orphans for years, it would be the time after Ravi ran away and during the time he went to the General store.

Its amazing how no one seems to understand that the girl was probably sold as a prostitute at a young age and had to pay debts for it and she tried hard to survive and break free and then outa no where MC goes and destroys the place that was collecting her debt, shes probably mad cause no one saved her before she had to become a prostitute and when she finally decided to be strong and use her own power to break free some dude comes outa no where and does it for her aka too little too late

Haha! Yeah, this girl's pretty unpleasant at the moment. I'm sure we're going to get a horrible and traumatic backstory, but even before that, I don't think we (or just me, I guess) really need it to just let it slide like Douglas is doing.

Here's what we know about her: She was sold, she lives in a brothel, and she's 15. Life was definitely unkind to her and basically nobody really raised her beyond the ladies here who have their own worries to deal with.
I'm not saying it's okay to be a shitty person just because bad things happen to you, but she's basically just an immature kid, and it's fair to just leave it at that.

A more interesting conversation to me is the idea of altruism being arrogant. I mean...is it? Some people who need charity probably hate it as a natural response, so the very fact you're trying to help hurts their pride. Does that mean either side is wrong, though? Someone sees something wrong with the world and tries to fix it to the benefit of others as a natural response.

Altruism may seem like arrogance in the eyes of someone who can't act.

He had the power to help and the freedom to do so. Those prostitutes can only stay in their bubble and might even be offended by outside help.

I mean if you are working hard for something and someone comes along, snaps his finger, it's done. Doesn't that hurt your pride in a sense?
