@omegaxis1 What's interesting is that all this content on Alan and Douglas' backstory is not present at all in the original WN (maybe an LN expansion).

At no point did the author even give any hints or clues as to the motives for hexing Douglas,

Plus the author effectively abandoned the WN back in 2019 to write other stories, leaving it incomplete.

Is important to note that Douglas actually tried to protect the children of the monsters they were fighting, he went full on insane at some point, it was a notch higher than self sacrifise.

Well, no matter how much we hate alan and the other guy, author will always make mc forgive them, giving them good guy lecture and let them go as if nothing happened.
