Byaku is a failure because the demon ego is still within him.
Angeline is a success because there's no demon ego within her.
This is because Satie is an elf, apparently elf influence greatly counters the demons.
Its also why when Charlotte's demon ring went berserk, the elf elixir Belgrieve used was very effective.

The first 3 lines of the spoiler isn't a spoiler. That got revealed in the translated chapters that are out. You just needed to infer that from the story. The last 2 lines is definately a spoiler though.

He orders the arrogant 2nd son of the noble family to instigate a fight between Angeline and Kasim.

Angie was never shown or implied to have any elven traits as far as I can remember, so I think its safe to say she is just human.

As for Satie, apparently conceiving demons only need to have the mana(?) entering the host's body. Satie suspected someone snuck the demon into her food or drinks, since she didn't even know she was experimented on until her belly started rapidly growing.

I thought that that was where it was headed, too. But I'm not feeling optimistic, since it'll progress a goal, and a lot of stories just LOVE spinning wheels just to see them spin.
