well, she's not really a guest of honor in this case, as more of an... attraction of sorts? The medal itself is just a means for the archduke to boast about stuff he didn't do, because it's stuff that happened in his territory and he has to show off to everyone by acknowledging her achievement.
Under normal circumstance she would be a guest of honor, yes, but she's just an adventurer at the end of the day...
makes me think the guild should have stood their ground and refused the invitation. while it might cause more work and political trouble with the nobility, a work place that doesn't prioritize it's number one adventurer might as well run a bounty hunt facility. also, how can someone who is a "commoner" in this scenario know who the prince is.

The highlight of this chapter for me was finding out the struggles of lower-class nobles and their everyday fight for power and politics. Stories usually take the easy way out and cast all nobles as self-centered and arrogant if they're not the main characters, so seeing a different side to them was really nice.

Dude seems rather reasonable to me, so probably not. What's more likely is that she might save his ass later, because there's no way the story spending this much time on the event without some impending major shit hitting the fan.

Then again... as much as she is unused to the ( rather extreme here...) ways of Nobility, they aren't trained in handling live Nukes... And it shows..
The fun bit is that they don't even realise they're dealing with two live Nukes... But then again... no-one ever pays attention to a mere maid....
ugh, when will we move on from all the nobles and their bullshit? I'm so tired of them, every last one, and their nonsense. This whole subplot and its parade of endlessly irritating cunts is solely dependent on the fact that Angie is only 1% as irritable and pugnacious as someone her age and strength would be. It's worn really thin long ago and should be resolved asap.
