So Angie is a Demon Lord and Mr. Red Ogre fought a demon lord on his first adventure, lost a leg and turned one into his daughter.

That sounds so much like an entire new manga title : "I beat the demon lord on my first adventure and I lost my leg. Nothing matters because it became my cute daughter who wants to be an adventurer!"

Angie being a demon lord seems like the obvious hint here, but at the same time, Belgrieve found her in the mountains in a basket filled with protection charms, and I feel like if she was straight up some kind of demon lord she would be more likely to be disposed of / thrown in the woods without any charms, instead of the kind of "I can't take care of this kid but I don't want it to die" abandonment treatment.

Since we know the previous demon lord talked about being lonely/wanting to meet master, and this one wants to "go back", I'm thinking it might be possible it's kind of a fakeout and she's not "the same" kind of physical entity, it just sensed some emotion in her heart as being the same (either from being abandoned as a child, or from usually not being able to ever meet with her dad) instead.

These demons remind me both of Full Metal Alchemist and Berserk.

Yes, that's a good thing, despite that being a horrifying thing. Heh.

Huh. Significantly lamer than I was expecting. Wanted the father and daughter to fight that thing together, but nope. They're playing some kinda long-con with that loli.

I’m glad that the nobles realised that the pig is behind it. It annoys the hell out of me when the bad guys do not get caught even though they obviously did something. (Just to drag things on forever)

I'm betting on the trope that all the Demon Lords are actually the souls of S-Rank heroes that died on the job, and due to the constant work being pushed on them were never able to go home, which was their dying regret that turned them in the "Dark Souls™".
