The kingdom decides to kill him? At worse/best they could imprison him and use his skill whenever they need
Executioner only stabs him before throwing him from a cliff? At least. chop his head, burn him or feed to wild animals!
Seems to have only girl companions in the future

It has already been said by others, but that was an exceptionally sloppy execution, especially so for someone executed for the danger of possessing a resurrection skill. But then again, if the kingdom had been appropriately thorough, the story would be over, so it can't be helped if the author wanted to keep things simple. If things didn't need to be this awfully one-sided, there could have been a third party subtly intervening, leaving the kingdom still in the belief Licht is dead, yet not make the execution look as half-assed as this. However, that might not have turned Licht vengeful enough since someone would have actually helped him.

" We acknowledge that your power is very strong, and it is very useful for us, but because there's a chance you will use them to revive the demon, so we'll kill you" - another wtf?
What kind of mental gymnastics do those people playing to have such conclusion like that? Seriously...

I can really tell how many people don't even think of things like paranoia or the fact that if the hero party didn't listen to kingdom they could be branded as traitors and be executed themselves. Also so many people calling it bad writing I highly doubt your stupid asses could even write a decent short story.
