As much as I understand why people believe this, it doesn't make any logical sense to me. Cross knew about Allen, but clearly has no recollection of having traveled with him personally. And that middling level of knowledge on the situation regarding Nea and his host makes no sense under the assumption that his memories were modified by this remaking. He simultaneously knows too much AND too little for me to believe that old Lavi turned into Cross. Much less that Apocryphos just completely ignored him after the fact to the point that he could reach the level of a General in whatever timeframe exists between this remaking and when Red meets Mana. Also - imho old Lavi turned into Cross, since they look almost identical. That would also explain how Cross knew so many things about past and Noahs, how he knew Skulls magic (probably from Nea) and how he got innocence (by-product of interfering with Allens de-aging erasure). His scar over eye would also fit with porcelain mask.
well the TN said that in the last couple of panels old lavi was speaking with the same mannerism as current lavi so maybe the innocense made them both youngMan, did the author really introduced the former Bookman Jr. character just to kill him in like one chapter?
What a waste...
ya i was thinking the same, since TN said that old lavi was talking in the same mannerism of current laviSo my theory is Apo tried to erase Allen with reversing his age but since Lavi hugged him in the middle of attack he caught in too, at the end of it somehow they exchanged their hair colours(it's just my assume this Allen has red hair because of the shading), they turned into children. Allen went to circus meanwhile child Lavi adopted by grandpa Bookman? Since I started with first season anime and skipped those parts in manga I didn't see but if you search for young Lavi we know and look his history it looks like he said something to Bookman smiling widely plus he has patch on his right eye. At the end Allen didn't turned into nothing because Lavi gave up his life too and Lavi actually didn't die like the Bookmans that Allen is together with thinks.
+ After looking at last chapter I remembered Nea said Allen's body was tampered and this was probably what he meant.
wtffffff… thanks for this recap btw! so even in the early volumes lavi knew allen was nea? so dumb…This isn’t helping lessen the complicated mess of this story one bit
Okay, so, before he’s the current Allen, he was another Allen who came into contact with Nea and another Bookman named Lavi. Apocryphos found him and in an attempt to kill him, Allen the Nea host survived but lost his hair pigments, memory, and age.
Then the amnesiac Allen (nameless at the time) joined a circus, and with some twisted fate, met Mana the Millenium Earl, assumed a dog’s name that’s coincidentally Allen, manifested an Innocence, and Cross Marian took him under his “care,” all while Allen himself unknowingly carrying the package that is Nea.
Or something
I honestly can’t remember whether the hammer wielder Lavi knows Allen has Nea, but the previous Bookman Jr also named Lavi in this chapter doeswtffffff… thanks for this recap btw! so even in the early volumes lavi knew allen was nea? so dumb…
Please and thank you! !Here's chapter 253 without text/typesetting done:
Will try to translate this chapter but hopefully this can speed up the process for other translators. If someone could link this to the current dump thread in /a/ would be really helpful since the country I live in is rangebanned and it could pontentially help tl /a/non.
