I read the WN version of this manga, the world building is nice. They gave insight how big is demon kingdom, the rules and hierarchy, also give POV from Alliance of humanity about ongoing war. Everyone is not mindless yes man like some manga.
About harem tag you don't have to worry, it's not the type that caught every girl you found, more like it's because most of his subordinated is girls.
So far there's only 1 loli that is his devil contractor.
The devil that make contract with him is called demon god of taboo, whenever he breaks a taboo, he gets power ups. also, taboo from both race counts, taboo as a demon prince and human hero.
The story doesn't have common human bad/demon good side BS, it's just war between both races.
I hope they not toned down the story because it's such a rare we have story where the protagonist has POV both as demon prince and human hero.

seems like this coulda been the same plot without the reincarnation. Just have the prince grow to empathise with some human slaves. and the rape of that child in ch1 was totally unnecessary.
The reincarnation itself is actually plot point in the story because as far story right now only confirmed 1 person that keep ego/mind from previous life that is the prince. It's going all the way explaining how the soul work, how the prince takes advantage of that fact, and how to protect his human ego.

Can someone whose read the novel tell me if the MC goes the typical "I'll make the two races coexist" or does the MC continue down the "I'll avenge Humanity" route, because the art and premise sound interesting and I really am not in the mood for another creating a kingdom of monsters and Humans story unless the MC avenges Humanity but still protects the monsters from total annihilation.
he keeps avenge humanity path, and oh boy it's full of tragedy. Because his parent in demon side is actually CARES him and is GOOD demon if you look at them from demon POV. There's no option make the two races coexist in current development of the story.

I bet he befriends demons and quickly forgets her raepd childhood friend and her killed mother to learn that demon's aren't that bad after all, or humas are the real monsters or some BS like that
Was worried that would happen as well. Or that it just goes off the rails like in Overlord. Would be nice if it follows the slowly taking out demon leadership from the inside but it's hard to tell with that gag stuff with his instructor.

I bet the 24 low ratings were because of the little girl r*pe scene in the village. Which I completely understand why it upsets so many, but I think people jump too fast to conclusions without considering that it serves very well it's purpose: A realistic depiction of demons and their doings when they reach human villages. Humans have done the exact same in the past and even now there are occurrences in the recent wars, but people expect a manga with the tags "gore, sexual violence, action" to exclude it. Once again, it's understandable to have strong reactions to r*pe in fiction, even more involving minors, but I think the manga has great potential and with just 2 chapters it's too early to rate it.

A little disappointment in the system is that Ante is supposed to be Taboo, but in practice the story more and more show it more like she's demon of Guilt. Of course it's explained, as Taboo is not simply things that are not allowed, but you actually feel aversion to doing it. But the murdering people of his kind (from both sides) brings more impression of guilt.

Checking the WN, it does feel like the train had left since far too long time ago for that.
The first Demon King's dream is for his people to be prosper and cultured like the world he saw. But he can't envision his people to be able to have it any other way. He saw them as warmonger, and if the war ends, they will start killing each other.

His son, the current Demon King still hold that dream of a cultured demon race, but can't bring it to movement even though there are younger generation who starts to show interest on culture. And to make it worse, the trauma of losing his father made him too wary about human.

And after so much blood are spilled, it's hard to just bury the hatchet and have both side settle it peacefully.
This is despite there are demons who has interest in culture (like his eldest brother's interest in agriculture, and the youngest sister's clan of civil engineers).

By the way, the three generation reminds of the anecdote about the three conquerors of Japanese warring period, Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Tokugawa :D

Might also get more low ratings because of the loli.

I wonder who was the person that was shown to have sex in the last few panels of chapter 9...
