Chapter 39 summary
Gotou is mulling over what his sexual escapades have cost him in terms of reputation and academic success, and how it hurt Akito by proxy. His friends basically saying that he’s change for the worst since he’s stopped being a virgin.
With the pretext of studying, Agawa calls him out to the library. The two talk about how they haven’t been studying, and when Agawa tries to cozy up to Gotou, he pushes her away to her surprise; and repeats it when she tries again.
He explains that their casual sexual relationship has caused them both much infamy and so Agawa takes that as why he’s been keeping his distance from her. However she turns up the heat and tries to seduce him anyway, but before they kiss, Agawa sees Gotou ridiculous duck face and backs off to laugh at him.
“Is that how you kiss that girl?” “No… we’re just friends” ; and then the chapter ends.
