was the editor the main reason the author went to akito inclusion? ngl i didn't like the whole teacher thing in the one chapter. Ik that path got cancelled, but i think the whole teacher blackmail route was worse, i think what they're doing with akito is better imo.

AFAIK the whole rewrite was because the author didn't like what they came up with together with editorial team, so he did what he wanted to make a threesome happen.

And sure, the teacher arc was unpleasant for most, but we haven't seen where it was going, so who knows? At least the characters felt like they wanted something before rewrite. MC beginning to come out of his shell and deciding to go for FMC, regardless of perceived difficulty. They also introduced a supportive side character who actually cared about FMC. FMC heard his confession, and even though she did not respond, she started to consider it and became reluctant to have sex with other people in the meantime. The teacher thing would probably push some kind of narrative, rather than just being an NTR.

Now, MC made no progress - he is just as awkward and pathetic as he was at the beginning. He only cares about sex, completely forgetting any ideas about pursuing FMC. FMC is completely unaffected emotionally by what happened and keeps sleeping with other people, but at the same time acts jealous of MC getting attention from someone else - hypocritical and not rooted in any character progression, introduced simply as a tool to create a competition between her and another girl. Characters turned from developing to stale and incoherent. The overarching plot is completely gone. It feels more like a series of doujins, than a manga series.
