If it were me I would use CDN and cache the API response in static JSON and purge em every time there's a change, which would make the site behaves like a pseudo JAMstack site and make less call to actual server and the database. But in Mangadex case there's chapter hashing to make it complicated and for some reason people would brought up AWS every time there's a talk about CDN...

Hide the notification blue dot
Is there a simple ublock rule one could use to hide the dot?

I recall reading how red dots were used by reddit, Facebook etc. as a rather irritating way that was empirically found to annoy the bejeezus out of their users until they clicked it. I only see the blue dot when I wind up on the main page, which is almost never (thanks for making the blocks on the Manga viewer hideable!), and even there is usually no dot, but I really don't like the dot.

I know the social media brainwashers use the color red because that affects humans for whatever weird reason, but I still feel a compulsion.. to click... the DOT!

So this guy wants to:
- Post on the site
- Not be notified of responses to said posts
- Not spend one second to click 'Notifications' so he can ignore both another user's response as well as the fact that someone responded to him in the first place
That is, assuming he even realizes that the "blue dot" is extremely important in that it notifies you of actual dialogue between two or more people. Can never be too sure with defaultbros these days.

isn't just the simplest solution that its not user access but front loaded forced data from this site towards users that is causing servers to cost more? if u can access this site with proper filters after login (country of origin), that would half or severely decrease logged in users from using ur site and the amount of data forced upon them from ur servers and lessen expensiveness? seems simple solutions for less data load from users and costs is more about as u said were chinese forced first so the excessive data and loads to our servers is to great even though u could allow user filters to lessen cost and burdens for your site by allowing users country of origin filters so it doesn't load and use data and server access for ur overcost server instead of socialist liberal chinese first, we must obey r Chinese overlords with forcing chinese content to users and now saying we are intro chinese ads cause of costs...seems admin is just money/politically making excuses for users..
