I see this alot with manhua and manhwa but more frequently with manhua, but I find it kind of annoying? changing stuff like xuejie to "senpai"(it's not really limited to this but this is just a example) doesn't really sit well with me since I know that it's chinese and japanese words don't really fit well. Let me know what you think!!!!

literally never seen this
it's either localized to english or left as like -nim or unnie or w/e
this is korean though. I haven't read that many chinese ones

oh. yeah 95+% of the non-japanese ones I've read are the full color long strip stuff

but anyway my stance on the issue would be that it doesn't make sense to do unless the story is set in Japan for whatever reason

I couldn't care less if the scanlators just put a star on the korean word and write the meaning at the bottom of the page but for some reason they expect us to know what the words mean. I can understand japanese scanlators not having to do it anymore but in the past many manga also had japanese words that had to be kept un translated for example if they were the catchphrase of the character or if it was traditional japanese terms with no english equivalent, all of these were kept in japanese but a definition of the word was provided which made it understandable.

I mean i would probably prefer for them not to? Korean manwha are so different from manga it makes sense they would have different terms and stuff. None of it is that hard to pick up and you can usually have no issues after 2-3 chapters.
