I think the coloring may be an omage to older manga styles like Golgo 13 or City Hunter. Looks pretty similar from the covers.

I was waiting for it to be the typical plot of the little son being a shithead but it seems like he totally just doesn't want to be the hero. So I'm actually interested to see what they do when they meet up and obv the hero is his dad. Also thank god the wife is alive because I was so worried the fiancee would be the dad's love interest.

Spoiler: Plot so far

Father is super strong and uses his physcial abilities as if they are magic while mom is OP mage. Son later turns into a jerk because of his new found power and title.

In the WN, it didnt take long before mom and dad give him a lesson (Son was manipulated by a succubus who disguise as one of the son party member to abuse his power before being killed by Mom)

Mom and Dad are actually respected people and even those at the capital knows them.

Fun story to read, not that epic but its good
