Arca has been living his life under the pitch black shadow of his parents. It really kills a lot of motivation when you grow up seeing an a huge wall you got no hope to overcome.

Being Hero could be his chance to finally move away and find purpose in his life. But he's been living sheltered, so he never know how to handle that power rush from finally being stronger than anyone else. Or, realized he can't act up to everyone's expectation of him becoming a saviour.

that’s probably cuz since the ‘Hero’ is an
Indispensable existence, getting on his bad side or talking poorly of him would likely damage any village’s reputation.

Fortunately Saya wasn't physically harmed. Her ordeal is mental anguish from getting kicked out of the party and having to see her fiance become a cheating womanizer drunk on power and money. A naive country bumpkin likely got drunk on power and fell in with a bad crowd in the big city is my guess.

This has more pages compared to the other group's 2.1 and 2.2. I suppose the other group was going to do a Ch. 2.3 but didn't now that Ch.3 is out and is a joint effort by both groups.

I doubt she's lying given her reaction and it seemed like she initially didn't want to show her face and likely tell his parents.
I also don't think the son was meant to be the hero. I think the Saintess misread/misinterpreted the oracle and the hero was supposed to be the father. Most of this story is going to likely be spent with the father doing heroic acts that the son should've been doing while they likely keep missing their son once he learns they're looking for him. Hence the reason for the author dropping the hint that the son never wanted to make his parents angry. I doubt the son will be powerful enough to defeat his parents.
